I had one of these in a desperate attempt to get a fat cat more active. I literally threw everything I could into it, playing with her every day. The fish, however, terrified both her and her mother. Her mother oddly enough never did thicken up and was a skinny cat all her life. Couple years later I tried the fish with a passle of new kittens. Their mother was feral and had the same reaction to the fish. The three kittens have the same reaction as my old cats did. Utterly terrified! Also, I was standing at wally world, looking at flea medicines when out of nowhere, the woman next to me remarks, "Ten catnip mice for six dollars? That's a good deal isn't it?" I told her "Maybe. But I have three kittens in my house right now. Yesterday they spent 3 hours playing with a grocery receipt." @@Alvicatchannel
Alvi will deal with the fish when it is convenient for him. Cats never react to toys the way that we humans expect them to. The cat in my thumbnail picture R.I.P. Romeo Cacciatore 🙏💐, was a rather intelligent cat. A friend got me a laser pointer for Romeo for Christmas one year. I focused the laser dot on the wall and made it bounce around a bit. Romeo looked at the dot , looked at my hand holding the laser pointer, walked over to me, and slapped the pointer out of my hand. Then he showed me his belly for some belly rubs. He wasn't fooled by some stupid dot on the wall.
@@ninatouchdown2500 Thanks for your kind words. Romeo was my best buddy for about 15 years. He just showed up one day when he was about 6 months old. He was a little cat , about 8 to 9 lbs. A cuddly lap cat with me inside and a ferocious hunter when he was outside. He ate his kills, so I was constantly getting deworming pills from the vet. He had a collection of squirrel and chipmunk tails neatly lined up next to the woodburning stove. He's been gone for about 3 or 4 years. I now have 2 cats. They are brother and sister. The foster mom didn't want to separate them, as they're quite attached to each other. The other 3 cats in the litter were independent, but these two are friends for life. The brother is orange, so I named him Bundava (Croatian for pumpkin) , his sister is the first female cat that I've ever had. I named her Nada , (Croatian for hope)
cat and fish are super duo, beautiful kitty is so cute, I would like to hug and love, 😻😻 I love everyone who loves cats 😻😻😻 😻😻 I also feed stray cats every day. We are working together with my friends to protect and neuter cats. I will spread this all over the world 🙏 I want a world where cats can live freely and happily. Don't let cats go hungry
Thats awesome!!! I take care of the strays in my neighborhood, up to six right now. I feel that everything deserves a chance and to be loved. Thank you for all you do!

I like the music, I ' ve never seen a floppy fish before , alvi is such a gorgeous cat, he looks so sweet poking that fish I'm sure he'll get around to playing with it but I think he has more important things to do at the moment like looking outside and considering whether he should check up on all the neighborhood cats and see if they are behaving themselves, ( good video )

Awesome review video. Alvi’s reaction says it all. My cats wouldn’t be into that thing either. I seen it at a few grocery stores. I’m glad I didn’t get it thanks to this video. That sound of that fish 🐟 would annoy me. 😝😃👍✌️
Alvi is so freaking adorable!! Was thinking about buying one but I don't think either one would bother with it. I love how he's always on guard, you never know whose going to pop up!!
I added extra catnip to the zipper section of the fish to make it more appealing and Madame Ratty reacted in pretty much the same way as Alvi. The boys gave it a bit more of a wide berth! :)
My ginger cat Mimi was super into the DVD player that I would open and close with the remote. I don’t think he ever figured out it was me controlling it.

Alvi and my kitty, "Baby", would make a perfect couple! She has the same temperament, just not interested for long. He a cutee, floppy fish or no floppy fish🥰
I purchased one for my sun conure, green cheeked conure and galah. Can’t wait for it to get here and see their reactions!!! I love how your cat kept a distance first before inspecting then playing with it! So funny!! 😂😂
We bought it from a Dutch webstore but they are being sold everywhere on the net. RU-vid doesn't let me include a link here but if you google 'floppy fish buy online' you will probably find one below 10 Euro.
Remy and Lily seems scared of their Floppy fish i think because of the noise it makes. Alvi seems to like batting at it but watching over his kingdom is more important lol.
My Alvi look alike doesn't like anything except a wand toy (same for my other cats) and they all seem immune to catnip (have tried several brands). They prefer to eat sleep and cuddle.
When it comes down to toys cats are totally unpredictable. Lots of cats just love to wrestle with the fish, others won't give it any attention. With catnip it's more ore less 50-50.

Its very cheaply made. The USB port breaks easily which leaves it impossible to charge. Your cat's initial reaction will be funny, but you'll soon regret paying the money once it breaks.
Thank you for your input! So far our USB-port hasn't been broken, so guess we have been lucky. We think the noise the fish makes to be its biggest disadvantage: a lot of cats simply don't like that.

It is because he can go outside. Outside cats are not so easy to impress by artificial toys. Its the same with our cat. He loves to play with a sock, a blanket or a stick under the carpet edge. After 10 minutes he looses interest and go outside to catch a mouse or Bird. I gave away all those fancy toys because he doesn‘t even noticed or is afraid of 👽🤦🏼♀️
I have a big bag of toys my cats don't love, at first, but over time they get kind of interested in some of them. Truthfully they seem to like plastic bags and boxes most of the time 😂 Oh well, I'll keep buying hoping to find the perfect one for them! ☺️

Put it under a blanket, that makes any toy more interesting. My cats are not much interested in toys, but if I attach a string and pull the toy under a carpet or blanket, that makes them instantly attack.
Alvi is so cuddlesome and cute. I share his views about the fish. How about those laser toys with lights? Does he like those? My Ginger Bonnet used to love his ..

Catnip? More like Catnap where Alvi was concerned. Your cat really is an old soul, far too wise to be fooled. That being said I intend to buy a fish for Xmas it looks hilarious & we humans on the other hand have no problem playing with the absurd.
