I extracted this wonderful piece by master Pat Metheny in 2010.I heard the the piece in 1993 and since then I had the wishful thinking to make a Guitar Duo with it.The original version is for Solo guitar and Symphonic Orchestra.As always in my career,I used only my ears and the sound of the recording to create this version which respect all the main details of the work, and later write it down to paper.This kind of hard work has become a signature issue in my development as a musician: I create to myself the music I want to play, to me the best school to acquire knowledge.To record both guitars by myself was such an undertaking...I used two different guitars: a José Ramírez 1a tradicional(1979)with its power and spanish sound, and the wonderful Juan Paglia(1964), with its
profound and soft bass!
I used this fantastic music to make a kind of photographic timeline(1983-2018) of my career(35 years and counting...) and a little homage to the guitar duo, a musical union that I love, and to friends and colleagues with which I played so many times together, and Peolple I met,some of them very famous ones as the singer Antonio Prieto, guitarist Ricardo Acevedo, Manuel Barrueco, John
W.Duarte and Eulogio Dávalos which I had the privilege to know and learn from them.
