Rosa is a sea otter at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Doug does a yearly charity stream for it in her honor on her birthday. They are also hilarious watches and his money raised for the Aquarium has increased like crazy each year.
To answer your question yes the "AI" has a limit on what it can pull from from memory, at around the time dougdoug did this I believe he was limited to about 2048 tokens on a model without too many fully programmed in words so the limit on words could have been anywhere in between 900-1800 words depending on what all was said and the length of the words. While not guaranteed expect that words used often are programmed in as a single token while uncommon words will take 1-4 tokens depending on the length of the word.
@EldraziRisen At the time dougdoug did this novel ai used custom trained GTP models and one less powerful in house model, and where all limited to the 2048 token or context limit at most nothing I said was false except for the fact I don't know which model he used hence why I said I believe he was limited to 2048, and mind you I used a very cut down layman's description of how NovelAI described their own in house model worked at the time.
In the video around 12:10 you asked how the AI remembers past information: I don't know the specific word count that the NovelAI model Doug used can take in, but all LLMs (modern text AIs) can only take in a certain number of words. If you've already written a bunch, the AI can't use all the text at once, and will basically only remember the last bit of what was said, which is problematic for remembering information from earlier. To get around this, NovelAI basically gives their AIs a "short-term memory" and a "long-term memory", as I like to call them. The short-term memory is just the last few sentences that were said, as you would expect. The long-term memory however, used for remembering important older info, is managed by the user. When you're using NovelAI, you basically just have a text box to write all the important past information to. The AI can't remember too far back by itself, but the user can describe the situation to it in case it forgets. Doug did also update this long-term memory textbox in between turns, it was just cut out of the videos for obvious reasons.
Tepes is Romanian, And yes you add the sh sound, The T and S are supposed to have little symbols indicating that (Unfortunately I don't remember the name of them).
It's also not actually Dracula's family name, it's his second nickname. Vlad the Impaler is a direct translation of Vlad Tepes. Vlad III 'Dracula' (son of the dragon) 'Tepes' (the impaler) of the house of Draculesti (children of the dragon, basically), with dracula and draculesti being named after his father, Vlad II 'Dracul' (the dragon).
8:25 Yo, Navajo Nation mentioned?! Being part Navajo myself, it was cool to suddenly hear it mentioned in a seemingly unrelated video. Hope you're all doing good! Have a nice day.
Day 29 of asking Airier for ENA reaction (My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.)
