I have many silk pieces. Tops, sweaters, skirts, dresses... They are wonderful to wear. I never hand wash them as that will be too much work. I put them into a laundry bag, select gentle cycle. Never dry the silk clothing in the dryer as they will shrink and get damaged. For thin pieces , I usually fold them over a hanger and air dry them. For sweaters, I lay them flat on the lid of the dryer for air dry. It has worked well so far. For this Christmas, I asked for a clothing drying rack for gift as now I have a collection of silk clothing and there will be multiple pieces in the same wash cycle so I have to expand air drying capacity. It is kind of fun.

I buy my wardrobe items for life, only in the best natural fibers/materials and classic styles. I don’t mind paying more because I only pay once. Quince is a favorite of mine, I stocked up on their cashmere skirt, sweater and jogger “sets” this autumn. They also make the best silk skirts for only $60, I have every color except the purple, I think. These are real year-round workhorses in my wardrobe, as I can’t wear any synthetics (allergies). My only criticism is that they don’t offer as many of the lighter colors that I love so much.
Hi Kimberly - I've been looking at the cashmere sets myself. I might have to get one soon. Thanks so much for hanging out with me for a few minutes - I appreciate you 🌻
I am too fat for most of these, love my cardigans, I always pick the big bulky ones, but I don't do silk, I don't do anything that shows my booty or my front. I am very picky. I only have a few different pieces in my closet, just tons of colors, I can only wear Cato. Plus size only.
I have been getting rid of most of my skirts and dresses, cause I hate the way they make me feel, I only kept a couple for church. One is actually denim,
Hi there - I hope you don't have anything left in your closet that makes you feel this way! You deserve to feel awesome every. single. day! Thanks so much for being here with me - I appreciate you 🌻
Hi Lori! Love your channel and your videos. Was wondering if you could do a video on how to wear and care for silk and cashmere. I always stay away from silk since I have no had luck washing and de-wrinkling (if that’s a word 😂) items so I just steer clear of silk. I also have no idea how to care for cashmere. A video on how you care for your clothing would be super helpful. ❤
So true! ❤️❤️❤️I’ve made a mistake of not keeping certain items because I wasn’t wearing them often enough to justify keeping them, just to realise I need to buy something similar again. Often not as good. I’m much wiser now. Great video, appreciate it ❤️❤️!
I remember I had decluttered a denim pinafore dress, a denim skort and two denim skirts. I regret decluttering the denim dress the most and I regret it every day and it has been 4 years. I miss the skort and the skirts a little. But I regret the denim dress terribly. I miss it everyday because I paint and that would have been such a useful outfit while painting (a messy painter here 😂😂). Haven't found anything like it since then. But it is what it is. I guess that's the lesson. Never to declutter hastily 😅
G’day Lori, I have a cotton cardie ( shorten all words in aus) that lives in the car so if a cool change comes in the afternoons I’m prepared! Especially walking the dog on the beach! Essential.love your videos. Cheers b 🐨🥂
New subscriber here! Your videos are SO helpful! I’m 29 and it’s really hard to find videos where women dress appropriately and with elegance.. so I’m really happy I found you! I also dress bohemian everyday and loved that you also wear boho elements too. It’s really helpful to see how you pair them with other pieces in your wardrobe ❤
