1) Because if you don't drive aggressive while everyone else is, people will just constantly cut you off. 2) This is why I do not travel in the left lane in dense traffic anymore. Back when I was commuting, this happened almost daily. So yeah, I generally keep a safe follow distance and get tons of people whipping in front of me. Oh well, no biggie.

For the bikers, maybe just throw hazards on and let em walk the bikes down maybe? Second one I'd maybe hit the horn, especially as that WAS a bonehead-ass move. #20 is my clip. Additional info for anyone who wants it: White car had all high school age people (I believe, I never made contact with them), and were potentially distracted by a man with a sign sitting on the corner; distracted enough to not see the oncoming grey car. The grey car held a mother and her infant child, who was unfortunately seated in the right rear seat where the collision happened. Luckily they were both ok, but were admitted to a hospital to ensure there was no harm done. As an extra note, I did pull off to check on the grey car, and stuck around to give the driver and police this footage. This took place one block over from one of the major intersections in town, luckily this didn’t happen there, as the speeds are much higher. If you are a parent, please make sure your child is a very safe driver before allowing them to take the wheel, especially when driving their friends around. As this did end up being ok in the end, it could’ve been very bad. Also get a dashcam! Neither driver had one, they are fortunate I was there.

3 seconds for each standard passenger vehicle. Add 1 second for every extra condition. Examples are size or weight of vehicle, which could be several seconds depending on how big and/or heavy the vehicle is. Road conditions. Light conditions. Weather conditions. Traffic conditions. Combine all those, and you could be 10 seconds or more behind the car in front of you. Of course, as mentioned, if you have a gap that big, it will disappear quickly because other drivers do not drive safely. Just my 2 cents.

It was dashcammer and his passenger screaming....just putting it out there for people lacking common sense - what if 1 biker lost power and the best they could do, for that situation, is keep 1 biker with it's hazard flashers on. Yes probably would have been better for working motorcycle to be on the outside protecting his ride buddy but then you're putting an operational motorcycle in danger whilst protecting an inoperable one. This losing power and being a hazard only seems to be a major concern because it's motorcycles - I mean it never ever happens to cars or trucks....surely not. I just wish those who driver cars [and bigger] had the same concerns when driving near functioning motorcycles.

@@xirabolt What? So you are clear, I said cammer was in the right for 11.1 and 11.2. And 11.3 is cammer's fault 1000000%. 11.1 You are agreeing with me? The white car tries to move over multiple lanes, including a solid white line. While also impeding traffic behind them (being cammer) 11.2 (You think this is cammer's fault?) For context if you can't tell, the dashcam is mounted more on the right side of the windshield which gives the impression of more space to the left of the Cammer. And did you even look? It is a 2 lane road. The right side is 1 lane and the left side is 1 lane for ONCOMING traffic. So cammer is doing what they are supposed to, there is no leaving space on the right side for others to pass. Cammer would have to themselves be sitting in oncoming traffic for what you want. And even if there was a turn lane or more space, the guy that went left around him is still in the wrong.

This rush hour video is on a the 95 HOV lanes in Northern Virginia, the exit ahead is to the 495 beltway. Speeds are higher and drivers operate much faster than the "65 mph" posted on this section and there's only a single lane exit to the Beltway.

Yep. Most accidents take two idiots to cause. #15 a great example. Notice the cam car speed never changes off 56 until the moment of impact. If I’m driving the cam car there is no accident in that instance, just me pissed off and honking for about 3 minutes and then going about my day

11.3 The other car was in the same left turn lane as the cammer. The cammer sped up and tried to effectively pass the other car within the lane before allowing the other car to complete its left turn. In terms of who is the AH, that would go to the cammer.

#2 CONTEXT - This is the 95 HOV lanes in Northern Virginia at the 495 Beltway exchange. During rush hour, this area backs up as it's only one lane to exit to the beltway. That combined with higher speeds on this section can easily spell disaster for drivers. Further, drivers routinely operate WELL OVER the speed limit.
