This is one of the saddest bands out there. Jude warns us of these wicked men... Jude 1:1-3. He tells us that wicked men have crept in and changed the grace of our God to lewdness or lasciviousness, and tells us to earnestly contend for what Christ first taught. MercyMe teaches the lewd lascivious grace that we are told to be on guard against..... for example: their song "Grace Got You".... Lyrics: "smile like you got away with something... why... because you got away with something... grace got you." Grace is the empowerment to overcome sin... not God turning a blind eye to it. Such a sick distortion.... and yet totally and directly warned about in the Word of God.
