Yeah rather than the normal MC and FMC or a love triangle, this creates fun a lot. Romance needs uniqueness for writing too just like animes like Tomodachi game, Death Note etc..

@@-o-o-o-o- they do but it’s only for like 5 seconds in the OP. But the dance in the LN is really special because during the dance, Alya realized the kind of person Masachika was. He was someone who hid in the shadows to allow others to shine. He chooses to play the supporting role. Even though he’s laid-back and unmotivated, he was someone that can be rely on. And I just like to think that if Doga Kobo animated the scene it would add a lot more depth to Masachika’s character. So yeah it was still a good episode but I just wish the dance scene was animated. (sry for somewhat long explanation)

I feel like his VA sounds like Kyoichiro from Yozakura Family sometimes. Masachika is really quite good, though. I'm excited for the Student Council Election Arc's beginning(I don't know if it's actually an official arc or if that's the name of the arc, so that's what I'm calling it).

Yeah the sad part with this show, mind you I haven’t finished it, is he’s really not into her the same way she is with him. The more I watch, the more I get the impression that he thinks of her as his best friend and he’s just humoring her when she says naughty things to him because that’s what he thinks best friends do. He really doesn’t think she likes him. He seems more interested in the girl he knew as a kid. Her he will probably date.

@@SteveRX4477 yeah they’ve cut out a few things so far that I’m questionable about. I think they are trying keep herself and intentions hidden from the viewers for a bit until more time progresses. But Alya is definitely portrayed as more possessive and jealous and flirty with Masachika even early on. There’s still 9 episodes so who knows.

I expected things to be cut because this is an LN adaptation, but the dance being cut is a suprise.. its literally in the opening, so either they are saving it, or they just pulled a dumb move... other than that I'm liking it so far.

Gonna be honest, I was surprised to learn Alya wasn't his childhood friend, but instead Alya's sister was his childhood friend. Thinking about it, that's probably why the girl in the flashback is blonde. That way, the audience draws the wrong conclusion about his childhood friend.

Russian is my native language and I can say she has REALLY strong accent. Those people who have problem with her accent are like french with “you’re butchering our beautiful language!”. They aren’t used to hearing japanese speaking it and for many of us it sounds weird. Tolerance of accents is really not the same as with english. There are many varieties in english accents that everyone is used to. But not many people learn russian and so there is no such amount of accents we are used to
