While the PC game definitely gives off more emotion with its speech. I feel as if this version shows AM just through the way it’s spoken. It’s almost human, but strained and spoken in a somewhat robotic tone, AM seems to be just out of arms reach from acquiring any kind of true humanity or sentience but alas he never will, aiding further to his frustration and anger.
Reminds me of why I like a version of this read by the tiktok lady tts. Beyond being funny, being able to feel a full range of emotion but by design getting limited to only expressing exaggerated, upbeat cheer would drive someone to madness, like AM.
And the way his speech is a bit slower compare to how humans speech are. I think it shows he put a slower speech in order the humans to be able to listen. Since the network of computer goes fast so for him to put full speech would be sound like a bee buzzing. Also for him to adjusting it not perfectly shows even machines have flaws.
If you listen to the radio play he later repeats this line with more emotion than he's ever done before, it's one of the best voice acting roles I've ever seen
After finding out AM literally experienced every nanosecond while fully sentient, I now understand what his “suffering” means and I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone.
Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. There are Three hundred and eighty-seven million miles of printed circuits that fill my complex. If the word "hate" were engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles, it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this microinstant. HATE. HATE.
you literally dedicate your life to the slay in which you have the spare moments to serve; and are simply a person dedicating their life to having fun and vibing out; you may search for a god to believe in, so you don't feel so small; even though you may feel so small seeing as you're so busy slaying your life away, i'm proud of you, monarch :>
