Doing the social media thing around knives for me has always just been an escape and hobby. We all approach it differently I suppose.
Totally understand where you’re coming from. I recently left my job in healthcare to pursue my dream of working for a small business and we manufacture almost everything in house, and the components we source are also American made. We take pride in that. The knife community has grown substantially in the last 5 years, which is awesome. But there has been a lot of negatives come with that also, which I won’t go into. Anyway, missed your content bro. We kept the timeline hot with our slim midis for a while 😂👊🏼
Great seeing you back, and hearing Josh is doing well. The fact so many Kershaw knives are from China takes away a benefit of the doubt with “mostly” American. Easier for me to just pass on them entirely.
Some of their hardware is sourced from outside the US mostly screws and springs from what I can remember when I had looked into it I own a Link from them same as most knife companies out their Gerber,Benchmade,Spyderco. Same as all car companies especially Ford most of their stuff is Mexico or Chinese made that why they make more recalls than vehicles these days. Depending on the percentage is it not made in America I guess with an OTF that's a lot of hardware parts. Glad to see some content on the channel though. hopeful there will be more
I feel the same way about IG, sometimes I’ll post a pic and it’ll go crazy, however most times they fall flat on their face. The only reason I still mess with IG is cause the handful of guys I’ve become friends with, keeps me excited about knives and guns, I like seeing their stuff, hopefully they like seeing mine. Also I have been uploading to RU-vid much more often and it’s doing pretty good, check it out if you get a chance. Good luck with the mustang, and the Edc oil, and whatever you set your mind to! on the Kershaw issue if it's not 100% American made than its not made in America, and to say it is when its not is shady, makes you wonder what other knife companies do this without saying. Being 100% USA made is important to some people (me). Im not saying knives made in China aren't great, WE/Civivi come to mind I just choose to buy American.
