Two last names makes you more Spanish in my eyes I’m with it and it’s in alphabetical order so it looks good too.

I’m Muslim, and in Islam the women are not supposed to change their last name when they get married because we see it as “you aren’t your husbands kid, or part of their blood family or “their property”” - we believe you keep your birth name from your father - the name you are born with is the name you will die with - this goes for men and women - we find it weird that a women changes her name when she gets married. Children take their father’s name ofc. Also, one time in college their was this guy who was getting so heated when we were talking about this in philosophy class when he found out Muslim women don’t change their name and it was SO WEIRD like why are you so pressed? Also im not too much of a fan of changing the last name, like why do i need to change my last name when i get married to my man? What does that do? Also do hyphenated! Don’t get rid don’t last name’l!

I was having this issue too but at least your last names together sound good so you have the option if you wanna do it but my last name does not clash at all with my fiancé's lol so the choice is made for me 😂

if I'm being honest, I completely respect anyone's decision to do the hyphenated last name, but personally, as what I'm used to and also the way the Bible seems to portray marriage, I would want my wife to take my last name, cuz God chose men to be the leaders of the household (mainly leading the family in the way of Christ above all else) and women to be the nurturers, and to me it shows the complete transition from being under one's parent's to becoming independent, also I feel like it would be better to have to same last names as your children, ofc unless you want them to have the hyphenated last name as well cuz I honestly don't know how that would work since I don't know anyone who chose to hyphenate their last name, but if Joel is completely for it, I see nothing wrong with it at all
