How do you seek God? by singing christian worship songs, read the bible, pray to God - pray in the Holy Spirit. Do all of these at least 1 hour everyday - do it right after you wake up or at evening whatever time you are comfortable with. I was in the same boat until my dad died and I collapsed to my knees, trembling, I could only muster a single shaky word, I said "God" and He knew how desperate that plea was.. That's when He blessed me with His Grace, and I knew everything was going to be ok, I was still sad, but the pain was gone the very instant his name left my mouth.. He is there with you in these songs even if you can't tell yet, He is using you to spread a message of the sinner's struggle to find God even when seeking him to the unbelievers out there that He would see saved.. Most people won't listen to a Christian tell them about God, or at least won't care.. but someone who desperately wants to find him and can't, maybe they will hear that. God will reveal himself to you when the time is right, keep reading the bible and praying to him, talk to him about your problems and difficulties, try to love him even if you can't hear him, and he will answer you.

I told him how even if my words could save someone, if no one ever took the time to read them then it wouldn't matter.. Well God just answered me through you, so maybe you're closer to God than you realize... That's how it was for me before my dad died, He was always there for me just as strongly and faithfully as before my dad died, and looking back I can see how He got me through countless times in a big way, I just didn't look on the things that I gave myself false credit for, in the lens of not being as alone as I thought I was or felt I was..

I was baptized catholic but never grew up going to church and never truly believed in god last October my best friend committed suicide last person I would have ever expected it from and I started looking deeper into who I am and what I believe it’s been a hard 6 months but I’ve realized I couldn’t have gotten throught it with out some one looking over me I now own a bible and read it quite often and have removed toxic people from my life it has be a very eye opening experience and I’m truly blessed to believe in god

Amen. God really wants a relationship with us for He knows us in and out and is closer than we think. Closer than our skins itself. Our dreams and aspirations He doesn't throw away actually He placed it there. Had the same questions for the past few days and last night while listening to early 2002/2003 Hillsong slow worship songs like "Magnificent" and "Still' the Holy Spirit came into me in a warm loving way and spoke to me. You are one with the Father as Jesus was right now, He said. I love you. I hate performing or trying to be Christian, I want to have a heart that beats like Jesus' heart. Yes He DID it. Don't doubt his goodness, his motivation was, is and will be love. He came to save, not to judge. Jesus will never let you down. Even when we experience church hurt or disappointment because of other christians. Our focus is Jesus - not them. We can't earn it and we don't deserve it. It's grace. But trust me, you will never regret that decision - when you surrender your whole life to him. When your soul finally tastes that kind of peace that the world can not give and they can't take it away. Jesus loves you❤

I am afraid of eternity sometimes... trusting in a God that holds me beyond my ability to grasp his presence or understand the after is frightening... it means trusting in a god that runs after you into the darkest places and continues to find you again and again in our ignorance and fear, pain and sins... that would mean that he is good, and can my heart understand that he really is that good? so vastly different from people.... In a story with a Jason Bartoo and Taylor Dahl that was Munn, I will share this. A blue spark went flying around that this Munn has seen, the soul is eternal, and some go into a tunnel of light and some don't. Some make that choice and some dont. "Blue" missed his opportunity but was set on a path to find out, it was because he hadn't finished his quest for knowledge on how things work so he flew around as a blue dot to find the truth. I've been asking a lot of these questions, my husband abandoned me and my son, decided to pick up a teenage girl and tell me he's in love with her, going from a man who wanted nothing to do with me or our son to wanting our son away from me.. he even took me to court, i havent seen him in almost a year. Jesus is the realest thing I've ever experienced. Didn't used to be though, I spent years in torment and doubt. This is so well written, I love the way you describe the fear of God but also the desperate need for Him, I went through a similar experience when I first found Christianity because I was brought up pagan and my parents were very against religion so I avoided it due to what I'd been taught, and the line, "But I've seen the church, why do they get Heaven and we all burn?" is so relatable because the sad truth is the church is a very inaccurate representation of God and this is why a lot of people outside of Christianity have such a strong hatred of it. The stigma around Christianity is why I avoided it for so long, but from my experience of becoming a Christian, not all of us are misogynistic racist homophobes. I know there are some people who are like that, but it isn't the vast majority, and Jesus would not be in support of those people. I think this song is so powerful and very underrated!! Anyone who heard of Jesus or knows of him I encourage you get to know Jesus personally. Talk to Him like you would speak to a friend. Jesus is Lord. Christianity is about a personal relationship with God who send his son Jesus to die for our sin so we can be reconciled with God. No one loves you like God does. God is a gentle God he is knocking on your heart but he waits for us to let him in. I pray God uses this song to touch many souls. In Jesus Name🙏🏽

"'cause I've heard of Jesus, but i've seen the church" Hits so hard cause its so true how far gone modern churches are. Some still preach Jesus, but others preach the happy smiley version of him, and thats it. Even though it says in the bible that he is Slow to Anger. Hope you end up finding Jesus cause he loves you and wants the best for you. You are already on the right path and i feel like he has you where he wants you. You have an audience and youre this open about your faith or in this case your doubt of faith. Hope you look more into it and surround yourself around real Christ followers.
