Sorry Troy, but it feels like you judged the album as a classic pop album, which it is not. It’s more of a funky rock album and that’s also what Louis wanted to do. This album is fucking great and I mean it is already a number one album in the UK. Also Louis has developed so much since walls and this album is 100% him. He’s a wonderful singer and a brilliant songwriter and I’m so happy that a lot of people have a different opinion on the album than you, because it is a masterpiece from start to finish.

He isn’t going for pop genre………… he going for British punk pop rock . He is inspired by oasis British band . that’s why it has a different feel to it and that why the lyrics are like that . that’s what he going for . He wrote half the songs in one direction.

I really need to say this Troy, I was waiting so much for your reaction and I completely understand how your opinion is different from his actual fans, but you were really off on this one. You kept expecting a pop album like Harry’s house and midnights but this was not Louis’ intention for this one. If you had took time to watch a couple of interviews for the release of the album, you would understand how he felt like walls was too open on his relationships and feelings and how he wanted to keep it open for interpretation for this album. He reached for a more British punk pop rock, and throughout your video you were always expecting a pop mainstream album, but you should’ve got the message throughout the album. Abut the lyrics and how you felt like they were not as deep as you were expecting, he again was reaching for a new visual on this one, if you want deep lyrics go listen to Adele for the love of god. u talked also about why did he “feel lucky to have gotten fame from 1d” is completely outreached and it shows how you have no idea what you’re talking about. Louis always since day 1 felt like he was the least interesting and talented in the band, so he felt “lucky” to have been giving a chance to be in the band. He was really insecure so the lyric saying “lucky again” is mainly that he is lucky again to have the chance to perform and show his love for music, he has been saying that for ages. The vibe of this video was honestly really negative and weird, not like your normal reviews, maybe you shouldn’t have posted the video if you’re not ready to get these kind of comments. Next time you’re gonna listen to an album, make sure you know the backstory of the artist before you say shit like that. Also, remember, if it’s a banger, it was probably written by Louis Tomlinson😜😜. Last of all, he wrote most of the songs in 1d, that’s why you’re getting the resemblance;)

Why is the only song that has no lyrical substance his favorite song? 🤦🏽‍♀️ there is no way that this albums wasn’t a departure or evolution from the first album. It’s way more rock, alternative and indie which is the sound he wants to move into, and the lyrics are just as honest and vulnerable as the first album.

As a Louis fan, I'm really protective of him. He has gone through way to much. Loosing his mother and then sister. With the band taking hiatus, everything has been so much for him. Plus, people really have negative prenotion of him without any reason, not realizing how amazing and unproblematic he is. Plus, his music is catered more to his fans that like the charts/trends. But when new people listen to his music, they will most likely love it. He has something for everyone. He is the epitome of for the fans

i personally really love watching troy react to things, his energy and honest opinions are something i have always respected. i thought he would enjoy this album more than he did, and it’s completely fine that he didn’t, i just can’t get behind the disrespect and mockery that went on throughout this reaction. i’ve watched videos of him reacting to albums he didn’t end up liking, and while i would disagree with him, i never lost the respect i felt towards him. it’s one thing to not like a song or an album, and to give your opinion and reasoning, but it’s a completely different thing to mock/make fun of the artist who made those things. it almost felt like he didn’t like the album/songs before even listening to them, and i can’t begin to understand why. louis himself hasn’t done anything to earn that. and while yes, one persons negative opinion on an album wont necessarily hurt the artist, (and isn’t technically a big deal) troy does have a large following, knows a lot of people watch his videos, and that many people take his opinion into consideration when making their own. there are MANY better ways to say you don’t like an album then to put down the artist. another thing i didn’t agree with was how he was making fun of people who actually DID like the album, if he wants us to respect his opinion, he needs respect ours in return. i’ve been sad when he hasn’t liked albums in the past, but none of them have ever made me mad at him for it. for example, lover is one of my favorite taylor swift albums, but you didn’t see me commenting on that video. i don’t know if i will ever understand why he was so MEAN to louis, and disrespectful to his work, but i hope he can learn better ways to be honest about how he feels when he doesn’t like things. the title on this video being what it is also makes me angry, because with having a large following and his videos getting “clout” or whatever you want to call it, people see these things, and in the end it CAN hurt an artist because other people will have their own preconceived notions before listening to the album. im not sure why he went into this reaction with such negative energy, and maybe some weird expectations, but it felt like he didn’t even give it a chance. im just so disappointed in this whole thing, and i hope he learns from his mistakes. he also can’t make reactions like this and NOT expect people to reply with angry comments. we’re not mad about his opinion, we’re mad at the way he stated his opinion, two completely different things. now im not going to unsubscribe from him right now or anything, mostly with hope that he SINCERELY apologizes for why he was rude to louis and his fans. if he isn’t going to be sincere i don’t wanna see it. that’s all i have to say, probably doesn’t make much sense, but i did feel like i had to say it. i loved the album, and think he evolved a TON from walls. i also (usually) love troy and his reactions, but u know. have a good day!!

It’s not a pop album! It’s doesn’t have trendy sounds! It’s not for tiktok and radios!! This is what he always wanted to make and this is absolutely fits him and his voice so well!! Louis always said that he doesn’t want to make something for others! He even said himself that if he wanted to make number one songs for the chart, he could do it well because he has already done it many times already! Faith in the future was never supposed to be a pop album. This is the music he wants to make and he has definitely found his sound. As much as I liked Walls, this album is absolutely way better. This sound fits him so well. I also think this album creates way more energy live (based on my experiences seeing him). But if you're not really into britpop/indie rock then I could see how it might not be for you.

I am not even gonna be bitter about it. I somehow had a feeling u are gonna mock him. It's ok to not like an album because we are all here for an honest reaction. But something about this doesn't sit right with me. I always say I'll take a bullet for Louis and this video made me realise how true that is. Every joke and every negative comment all felt like they come from a preconceived notion. It's not easy to shift genres and I respect Louis for doing that he could have easily stick to the mainstream pop formula but he chose to be authentic and I respect that. This album is a masterpiece and will stand by that till my last breath.

i completely understand not liking an album, of course everyone has different taste in music, but mocking him was completely unnecessary …

i love Troy and i was sooo flipping excited to see that he'd finally made a reaction video to FITF but this reaction vid was just not it for me, and for a couple of reasons. 1) it honestly felt like he had a preconceived notion about the album solely based on walls, and louis's contribution to 1D music. Keep in mind that walls being his debut album (nobody's debut album is PERFECT!!) had areas that could've been made better and don't even get me started about 1D music, as much as i LOVE LOVE LOVE them, none of them were given creative freedom, they were treated as money minting robots that were expected to release pop music targetted towards a younger audience in a span of one year whilst touring etc etc, (don't even get me started, that's an argument for another day) 2. one more thing is that, Troy tends to be more critical of artists who have a smaller fan base compared to other mainstream artists, all my love to harry and taylor but Troy wouldn't have been so harsh and critical of the music they make because he lowkey doesn't wanna get get attacked by their fanbases (i myself am a fan of both these artists and I've seen other fans become extremely hostile and unnecessarily violent towards people that do not share the same views as they do about the respective artists) I get that he might be trying to save his skin but come on man, you have to be fair and just. I found a similar pattern with Charlie Puth's new album as well, Troy just didn't criticise jungkook's performance even though both Charlie and jungkook sang the exact same lines in the exact same melody, because he was scared of the fans,,,maybe? it's just a theory. 3. I will never. EVER. FOR ANY REASON. tolerate any kind of mockery or undermining of the boys's work. I just will not take it, not liking the kind of music they make is a completely different thing but making fun of the artist without taking into the account the time, effort and talent that they've put into making said music. louis has been through SO DAMN MUCH and despite not being recognised and given "pop star status" by the general public, he's come out of his comfort zone and made music that HE wrote, HE put together and HE performed. Troy, i think you're a really fun and respectful person but i hope you're more sensitive in your future videos! :) cheers!

Lowkey think its crazy that tony was jamming out to this entire album just at the end to say that its no different from walls and he still dosent feel like lou has a direction. Lou said in interview that he did want something entirely different from walls, and wanted something more open for interpretation but also very live friendly bc with walls he felt like the songs didnt match the vibe of the concert. I think he really met this goal already from the few songs he has played live you can see how much of an amazing concert banger this album is. As far as a direction goes its going to take time for anyone to figure out where they want to go with there music and i think this was huge step in deciding what lou wants his music to be. It felt very authentic to him if you have ever seen how he interacts and his personality. Very disappointed in this reaction you where straight up mocking his music and wanted us to agree with you on it, felt very rude next time just say you don’t like it no need to belittle the artist and there music.

I listened to this album EVERYDAY since it was out. I personally don't find the production boring, yes it's different, yes it's something you should dive into to, but it's exactly what feels right to me. And moreover it feels a lot like LOUIS. But everyone can have their own opinion, mine is that this is the best solo album from the boys

He absolutely loved walls and was super pumped throughout the reaction and said a lot of good things and was overall very excited, appreciative and supportive not just to the music but to louis as an artist too. I always thought that louis would be the band member of 1D to move into rock/alternative/indie because it genuinely fits him, he carried one direction with the song writing and a majority of what made their music great and idk I think that a lot of these songs aren’t pop or anything like that and I think that the music (guitars, bass etc) itself was a speaker of the different direction he wants to take. as a fan who supports all of them I will say I didn’t listen to walls much because it didn’t fit my personal listening sense but this album has a lot to appreciate if you look for it. all I know is that these songs are definitely gonna go crazy during live shows and he did say that he wanted to get away with as much pop punk as he could and I think he definitely did that very well it just doesn’t fit your style of music you like i’d say but I don’t think he was trying to go for a traditional kind of album with the adlibs and such

I thought FOR SURE he wouldn't be brave enough to post this. I was on the live and it's the only negative review I've seen of this album. I loved it from the first time I heard it, and even then it's still growing on me with each listen. Louis did amazing and it's definitely an album that will age well.

I personally loved the album and would have thought you would love it too. I think you need to listen too it more. The difference between walls and faith in the future is huge. Lyrically, vocally and production wise it is completely different and he has evolved so much. Would have loved that you recognised that. I personally miss his bridge game. this album may definitely come across as a grower. the sound departure from walls is actually major if you listen to both albums back to back; first record being more ballady and slow tempo; also you get the idea of what the album is with reading what Louis said about it - it's all about live shows! thus why big emphasis on instrumentals. she's beauty will sound massive btw Blake explained it quite well :)

Yo who paid this man for this review. Honestly from the first few seconds of the video you can tell something was off it just seemed so disingenuous. Even while he was basically explaining why he wasn't going to like the album I still had hopes because his track record has been good even not liking songs its never been him just shitting on the artist like he is now. The contradictions are wild too lol mans is grooving to the song and a half second later its shit outdated, corny, goes on for too long. Went to Faith in Future tour in Cardiff. These songs HIT live. Will forever love Louis. I think it's notable that this music direction is much different to the songs in One direction and have definitely progressed from Walls. He's still relatively new to his Solo Career especially because of COVID delaying his first tour. If you know Louis and you know the direction he wants to take his music, this album makes perfect sense.

I just loved this album, I can't stop listening... I honestly feel like Faith in the future is basically HIM, I don't know how to say it but it's something that I always saw Louis doing. I am so happy to see this era happening
