I love the heterodyning between stations!

Those sounds that seems from space! Haven't heard of them since I was a child surfing on AM dial too! Thank you for this!

I used to do this all the time I used to find it interesting when it made that spaceship noise also when it would catch the middle of a conversation

Wow!! The AM band there sounds absolutely full of signals coming through. At 2:43, the song being played is "Let's Sing in the Sunshine" by Gale Garnet. i notice that most stations there are running individual programmes. Here in Australia, it used to be like that, but these days, many stations are networked and relay the same programme across the dial, especially late at night.

I hope we get to tune in and listen
