if the AMA brought them back, im sure the companies will start making them again. theres alot of people out there that would love to race 2 strokes in the AMA
@j4m35ac is a mixture of getting the right rider on a good bike(they are all pretty much the same when it comes to performance in the pro class) and having the right team manager/trainer teaching them how to improve. its mostly rider when it comes down to it.
I've always been amazed at what the top guys could do on a 125. My weakass 125 wouldn't jump half what they did (well maybe with a top guy riding it). Regardless I always loved this class and wish it would be come back although it's pretty much a 125 pitbike now.
the point of watching motocross , is that is a great sport and even if james stewart arrives first all the time it s nice to see who could beat him , if you don t like motocros don t watch it, now one is forcing you
i just started riding motocross, so maybe i dont know shit, but if one were to think of 'perfect form' this is what comes to my mind, his cornering technique alone is flawless. windham is pretty good too but he was pro when bub was learning fractions..
@iuliuspeverini umm put a pro circuit works pipe on it to give you more top end get a tire that has lots of space between the lugs to give you better traciton for the back put a mx51 on the front over sized front brake rotor and play with the suspension to set it up for where you like it on set it more for the bigger jumps you hit so it wont hurt as much if you case/over shoot a jump
ive got a 144 KTM and im wonderin if i should get a 250F but i dont no if i would get along with a four stroke! if anyone has rode a 2 stroke and gone up to 4 please can you tell me what you think!
one question if RC is better how come stewart can beet him? just because yhes been around more and he has a couple more trophys doesent mean hes better. and he got the trophys when stewart was in lites.
Maybe, but for these pros, ama pros, they are racing for their lives. They have to bring the dough. And in reality, a 2 stroke just cant compete with a 4 stroke anymore. Fun or not. Until you realize that these guys really do need "the best" to win, you will never get it.

@bradthornton123 if ur used to 2 strokes, stay with 2 strokes. youl hate a 4 stroke if ur used to 2 strokes. my friend has a kx 250f and i used to love it but now since i have a 2 stroke i hate his
@ccoady750 They never changed the rules. It's always been like that since a 4 stroke first won the championship, that was 5 months ago, i'm not starting another rage war with someone who doesn't know what he's talking about.
@reed22racer Youre nuts. They can easily compete, it's just that the AMA CHANGED the rules giving the 4 strokes a HUGE displacement advantage. I mean seriously, 125cc 2 stroke vs. 250cc 4 strokes and you (AMA) think that's fair? 250cc 2 stroke blows away 250 4 stroke.

pastrana's A.D.D. was his downfall. the guy could not concentrate long enough to finish a moto. his mind would drift, and he would be taking a dirtnap. easily the most physically talented rider of all time,but the A.D.D. killed his racing career.
@ccoady750 See, here's where you're wrong. I've got proof I race, it's called results. The fact that I play MX games just proves I love doing stuff about motocross. As for the 2 stroke being more powerful as a 4 stroke? It all depends on what you're talking about, you can't just throw out there "2 strokes are more powerful than 4 strokes" because you could be talking about a 65 vs a 450. I'll agree that a 250 2 is faster than a 250 4, simply because i've ridden them both.
so ur saying that 4 strokes arent advanced. umm hot tip 4 strokes are quiker then 2 strokes. my 250 r smashes a 125 an my bro has a ktm 250 sx factory race bike an the 450r is qwiker then that. 2 strokes are fun but harder to ride an outdated.
@spo123328 I think they make most of their money on parts sales. Just look how much a pipe is for a 2 stroke then compare it to the 4 stroke. The 2 stroke is twice the size buy over half the price. Also the fact that the (4 stroke) bikes are so expensive to rebuild, that the serious riders will buy a new bike instead of fixing their blown up thumper. More an more 4 stroke riders are forced to quit racing because of the cost. I'll stick with amateur racing on a 250 two stroke.
i was there and everytime stewart passed my section of seats these racist ppl would Boo him and yell u suck just because hes black. he is a great rider and it is pathetic that ppl are like that
"i can ride" If you could ride you would know what size bike fits you. 125 = to slow go for a 250. Also a used 125 will most likely have problems becuz usually young kids own them and they do not know how to treat their bikes. 125 Also needs rebuilt allot more often then a 250 (specially if you race) I ride a RM 250 and I like it much better then a RMZ 450. But there are those who are brainwashed and think 450s are better.. they're wrong but its a personal choice.
if they put as much money slash time into 2 smokes as they did 4 strokes everybody or at least more people would ride 2 strokes. james could ride a 50 and kick these guys asses.

He was a tech for 15 years on top of being the mechanic for his bike since he was 11... he's 55 now, so you're saying someone who's been doing it for 44 years, longer than you've been alive on this planet, doesn't know more about it than you? WRONG!!! the reason that supercross and motocross switched to 4 strokes is because FIM and enviromentalist threw a fit that 2 strokes make to much polluiton and theyre right. 4 STROKES ALLTHE WAY!!!!
i hate all your 2 stroke haters you have no idea what your talking about, the only reason most people are going to 4 strokes is because there easier to ride and a 250 4 stroke vs a 250 4 stroke whos gonna win thats right the two stroke
