Thokoza Gogo. Thank you. About people disappering in the water , growing up in Zimbabwe we would hear stories of mermaids that stayed in certain waters that would abduct someone and make them thwasa under the water. If someone was abducted they would go through certain tests and then come back as a healer. The family was not supposed to cry instead they would offer traditional beer and the child would return after some days. If they cried or if the child shunned the teachings they would turn up dead on the waters. So there are specific dams, underground pools etc where these spirits stay and these places are supposed to be kept sacred. They are believed to be foreign spirits that came into contact through trade. They accompany the blood ancestors. I hope it helps a bit in understanding the water disappearances

Thokoza Gogo, I've also read about this. One of the tests is the Nzuza spirit giving you mud or insects to eat to determine how serious you are about your calling. It's quiet fascinating and put a lot of things into perspective for me about my own life and calling.

Bhotani badala!!I am Xhosa, we have the same belief as well, in my village we have a dam under the rocks that takes people for ukuthwasa, we were warned by adults when we were kids, we not allowed to swim there in case you get taken. Sometimes you can dream of that dam sitting inside that water. It's such a mystery because we had a drought in 1986, water was scarce and that dam was the only one with water, we had to make a ritual to beg the water spirits to give us water and allow the animals to drink as well.

How are we related to the Israelites? I noticed that they also use animal totems.. e.g, tribe of judah's totem is lion/tau/mdau as well. So its possible we might be from Israel.. bible says at around 3 or 2000 bc, all Israelites were kicked out of Israel and replaced by foreigners (arabs/Indians). anyway what is the meaning of dlamini?
@katlegoseanmahaye3309
@katlegoseanmahaye3309 4 года назад
Apologies, this is not a pretext for discord, we are merely sharing our thoughts. Seen from Busi's perspective the framework of Ukutwasa seems to take on negative connotations. Terms such as "abducted" and "dead" used in conjunction with Ukutwasa really distort the meaning of Ukutwasa, which, means "the light of the new moon" or ku mu twasisa "to lead to the light". By "light", we do not believe that it is inferred the light which emanates from the plane wherein the mermaid spirits reside where it is said itwasa is taken. This is the lesser light corresponding to the lesser plane. The ritual choreography of Ukutwasa today opens the psychic body to this plane and it is wrong. There are indeed individuals who have been abducted, fed material from that plane and consequently regain consciousness underwater. Sometimes people venture into the water through an outer body experience sometimes they enter with their physical bodies and persist for years, months or days, time is relative in this context, the ability of the physical body to survive down there is based on the transmutation of mans elements, your basic building components of the physical body. WHAT WE ARE ESSENTIALLY SAYING HERE IS THAT THE ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE TRANSPIRING WITHIN THE WATER ARE NOT GOOD AND WE CAN PROVE IT.

Thokozani eMakhosi 🙏🏿 Pre-initiation story One day I felt tired of life and Joburg and I just moved to Venda resigned from my job telephonically which was a total shoch to everyone. I had no blood relatives, knew no one and for a person who's never lived outside Gauteng before I loved every single thing about it and felt at home (I still do) though I didn't understand what the cause that was but thanks to Afrosavy I understand why. The Dlozi that has protected me all my life is from the Dlamini which is my grandmothers surname and because my dad was born in Kwazulu Natal but a Swaziland descendent I didn't understand why I am dominated and led by the Ndau spirit. Everything happens for a reason🙏🏿 Thank you for your great work.

The part about not bearing children and having back pains broke my heart
@Lucream2
@Lucream2 Год назад
Let me shed light here. The Ndau´s or the Ndauwe people are found in the Eastern Zimbabwe all the way to the central part of Mozambique. In Zimbabwe they are most located in Chipinge, Mossirizwi, South Darwin, Mount Celinda and other areas. In Mozambique are found in Manica province (Mussurize district, Sussundenga District and Chimoio City), Sofala province (Machaze District, Chibabava District, Machanga District, Buzi District, Beira City) and Inhambane province (Govuro Districts). As you can see Ndau´s are mostly found in Mozambique. Ndau itsself is a Nguni tribe one of the oldest. Some of the Ndau sirnames are: Tivana/Mlambo/Muyambo/Cibi, Sithole, Mushanga, Mashava/Machava, Makuyana, Simango, Dhliwayo. The Ndau language is considered to be part of the Shona language. If you are a Ndau and you have spirits you will always speak Ndau in your spirits even if you grew up being lied that you are a Suthu or whatever tribe you were told. The Ndau people are well known to know traditional herbs, they know how to command the water to heal, known how to command the air and sand as part of healing. As a Ndau you need to know how your Sirname is related to the mantioned nature. I am a Ndau myself.

This video is a form of documentation. This series is kind of structured as a book. As long as you’re actively learning and taking notes, you’ll be fine. They structured this extremely well and it builds a solid conceptual framework. Additionally, you can check out the work of Umsamo Institute - they’re also pretty solid and they have the same principles and values of AfroSavvy

Thogoza Gogo noMkhulu. So helpful, it's like you were talking to me at the end of the video. What you said exactly happening to me, I alway had a painful lower back from childhood and my elders could not understand because they believed that lower back pains only affect abantu abadala mostly women. Even now I can stand for more than 10 minutes without feeling an excruciating pain on my lower pack. And as for mud🙈 yoooooooh! I'm a guy and I always crave umhlabathi, I even secretly eat it. And lately I even had a dream eating a river mud! I haven't thwasared yet and I know that I have to go and thwasa. I always dreams of rivers, lakes and seas. I always dream of river snakes /mermaids taking me down to the river banks. U said that snakes in the dream are peaceful but mine are not. I would had loved to know about the ndawo diet.

Thokoza Gogo, I have a question. If you dream that you have to go to the sea not the river. Is the process still the same?

It means that you are mediating between your Nguni and Ndau ancestors for the battle that took place between them. Those that are descendants of Ndaus but don't have Nguni ancestors won't kneel and bandover because they don't have the Nguni and Ndau conflict in their lineage. The kneeling while shaking your head up and down is to submit yourself to these ancestors during the incantation process. I hope this helps.

How is Tsonga and Shangaan 2 different people? As far as i know, learnt and followed my roots. Tsonga is a tribal group formed by Tswe, Rhonga, Thonga, Ndau, Shangaan, Kalanga and others. It's just due to conflicts, colonial and immigration that how groups got scattered like in SA, Eswatini, Zim, Zambia, Malawi, and South Tanzania. But there is no difference between Tsonga and Shangaan. Tsonga is the mother while Shangaan falls under Tsonga
@nkunapatrick
@nkunapatrick 3 года назад
This guy is correct because of the following reasons: 1. Tsonga is a language that is spoken by many clans. 2. Shangaan is a group that is made up of clans that speak Tsonga and are descendants of Ngunis and specifically those who are descendants of Soshangane and his warriors that invaded Mozambique in the 1800s. A few examples would be: a) Nxumalo (originally Khumalo) b) Chavalala (i.e. Tshabalala) c) Nkosi d) Mgiba (used to be Madonsela) e) Mdluli f) Ngoveni (used to Ngubane) g) Ndlovu f) Mathye (used to be Ndlovu) g) Sithole (ndau by assimilation) f) Slawule h) Dlamini (ndau by assimilation) i) Nyathi j) Langa k) Mhlanga (ndau by assimilation) 3. There are many clans that are Nguni and do speak Tsonga. However, they are not Shangaan (i.e. they are not descendants of the group that came with Soshangane). Just a few examples: a) Mabunda (originally Mazibuko) b) Nkuna (originally Twala) c) Khosa (originally khoza but now Ndau through intermarriage) - this clan welcomed Soshangane and his warriors in an region called Khosen in Mozambique. d) Maluleke e) Chauke (i.e. Mabasa) f) Mashele 4.) There other clans that are not Nguni and do speak Tsonga. A few examples: a) Khalanga - Baloyi/Mathebula (Descendants of the Rozvi - they are from Zimbabwe) b) Makaringe (Originally Ndau) c) Shivambu (Chopi but I stand to be corrected) d) Bila/Bilankulu (Chopi) e) Mashimbye (originally Ndau) f) Makwakwa (originally Ndau) Nxumalo's bid to become a King for all Tsonga speakers failed at the courts. There's a transcript where all the history is documented. The reasons for Nxumalo's failed bid to my knowledge were three, namely: 1) He's ancestors didn't conquer all the Tsonga speaking clans. 2) Tsonga is a language and not a tribe unlike Zulu which is both a tribe and language. Moreover, Tsonga is a fusion of Ronga; Nguni and other languages. When Soshangane got to Mozambique the language was already developed. 3) All the other clans provided compelling evidence that suggested that Nxumalo's ancestors were not recognized as the supreme king of the Tsonga speaking clans in that Era. For instance the Khosa clan under the leadership of Magigwana defeated Nxumalo's ancestors (Mpisane to be specific). That's why they ran away from Mozambique into modern day South Africa - they settled near Thulamahashe. In short this matter has long been a subject of debate and it has been tested in our courts of law and the Nxumalo's still can't prove that we are all Shangaans. I hope the above makes sense.🙏🏿

@@Esnath Exactly! I made a similar comment. We need to intentionally instil a culture of ruling out the basics before we get to sacred matters. Too many people are thwasing when they shouldn't and it has a really bad effect on the overall institution of African healing. Let's be comprehensive and not be too overzealous in our approach. This isn't an attack to any specific person but a broad message to our people.

Good discussion,however we need to revisit the origins of the Ndau as a people. To say they are Shona might be misinformation.
