Amain hobbies is where I mainly do my business for R/C Monster Trucks and Accs. I just purchased a pro associated rival mt-10 V2. Awesome Video huge thumbs up👍
This was awesome! As and Aussie myself I was so shocked when I heard Kendal speak and then to hear he's an Aussie I had absolutely no idea! What a fantastic story of building the best Hobby store in the world from nothing.. Even all the way down here in Sydney A Main have given me the best service ever , stuff turns up in great time and the online help and advice is second to none.
I live in Toronto Canada and when i cant find rc kits I want and parts I need at my LHS, I order from Amain. Well stocked for for the most part and I receive my items on time every time. Cheers!
Excellent interview Francis. Would be great to see the Hobbytown stores come back from near extinction. They were my go-to places to shop for r/c in the SF Bay Area back in the day. But, AMain is still a dream facility. Yay Kendall!
Going to have plan a road trip from San Diego to visit Amain’s new facility. Picked up my first Phoenix kit in person from Amain. It was sold out everywhere when it first came out. Unfortunately Amain would not ship the very last one they had. It was an only in store sale. It’s crazy to drive 9 hours each way from SD. But I had to have it. It was well worth it. And the guys at the shop were so helpful.
Couldn't agree more! The humble beginnings and commitment to e-commerce excellence, retaining the best workers have allowed them to thrive in difficult times.
Wow, that's an impressive hobby shop. Me and a great friend of mine went to Omaha, Nebraska for a TCS race and it was held at a Hobby Town USA and I thought that shop was nice along with the carpet track downstairs but looking at A Mains setup, its very impressive. Thank you for bringing this to your site, I enjoyed it a great deal. A Main is always my first on-line go to because of their customer support and excellent buying experience, at least for me.
Yeah, Chico, CA is very lucky to have this shop. I'm in the Bay Area, CA and we have no big shops to serve the massive number of rc'ers around here. Great shops and tracks are so key for keeping and growing the hardcore rc folks.
Ever since getting back into RC as an adult during the pandemic, I knew Amain was a good company I was happy to support. But this awesome new facility and now seeing and hearing from its founder just makes it that much more personable. And even better to hear how the stores will be playing an increasing part in the future. I suppose there's an argument against them and putting independent hobby shops out of business, but this is a free market. Grow or die. 🤷♂
Yup, these are good dudes. Amazon could care less if every single hobby shop shut down. But Amain knows the future of the hobby is dependent on new folks coming into hobby shops for their first rc car. They bought the entire Hobbytown franchise so they can help them innovate online and have really efficient inventory management.
I would like to see AMain with their acquisition of Hobby Town, stock more brands other than Arrma and Traxxas in their stores. Brands like Team Associated, Losi, Tekno, etc. Being a former racer in my youth, these brands were instrumental in my enjoyment of the hobby and I find being back in the space that parts and options for these brands have been difficult to obtain outside of my local brick and mortar hobby store. I have spent countless dollars buying the wrong parts or options because of not knowing exactly what the cars need or with work with them. Just a thought. Appreciate the video, amazing store and story on how AMain started. I hope this continues to grow and flourish.
They will try for sure. I'm observing that they're not getting a lot of Horizon Brands' inventory on hot releases. It seems they are getting cut off since they're retail competiton.
@@RCReviewChannel I didn't realise that. To me that sounds crazy on HH's part and doesn't make sense when they can have such a huge retailer like A Main selling your parts surly it would increase their market reach.. Hope A main keeps on doing great things for many years to come..
For sure. Having a store like that locally would be a huge gift for the RC Community. Their track usage fees too are so cheap. $60/month for a reserved paddock/table and unlimited track use
Same building and warehouse for sure. They used to ship rc and bike purchases in the same box to save the customer shipping. But it proved troublesome for customers getting confused.
A little naive on how basic economics works are we? California is the 5th largest economy in the world, I highly doubt you've never bought from a business there. How many "Made in China" stickers are within your arm's reach? Do you fill up your dad's truck with oil drilled from countries with deplorable human rights records?
At least it’s inside the US bro but not sure of your beef with Cali and distribution or manufacturing. Politics suck but you’ll have that and I don’t live there
Obviously, just a hater, the internet shop is global, so the location is irrelevant. They have a huge stock and discount codes every month plus loyalty points.
@@virtualreality4me544 I'm in South Wales UK I've ordered from them a couple of times..awesome store...what he ment was I want everything but can't afford anything..😆👍
Obviously someone who knows nothing about what they are speaking about. Having dealt with every major online rc company, A Main is the easiest to deal with and prices are competitive with them all. And if you have any trouble with a product, or god forbid an order, NOBODY else comes close.
I love Amain Hobbies. I buy most of my RC stuff online there. parts, cars, trucks. they usually have what i need. Living 250 miles in the middle of nowhere it is very hard to get parts so I have to shop online. When i call Tech support the guys know what they are talking about and helped me so much. I hope this store lasts for ever.
