My wife and I were seated in the rear seat of a coach which had to do several back and fro movements to negotiate a hairpin bend and the rear wheels were several feet in front of us, so consequently when he reversed back, we were suspended over the edge of a sheer drop with the rear wheels at the very edge of the drop. I told my wife not to look out of the window at the void below us. Scary or what. Hats off to the driver that encounters this practically every day.
we live in an ancient nation with narrow, curved streets. unfortunately in some areas the road is even narrower than these (in the mountains, for example, in the Pre-Alps, Alps or Apennines). When driving in Italy, you need to have strength, concentration, patience and a lot of courage, proportions and measures. often some of my compatriots are in a hurry and therefore get angry.
Well first of all you need to forget that such thing as traffic rules exist in Italy. They do, but nobody obeys them. No right of way, no blinkers, you often meet four buses blocking four lanes of a highway going 90km/h and overtaking each other for several minutes straight. Oh, and the behavior of people riding scooters is exactly as in 1:23 - they WILL get in your way every way possible. I once had to slam the brakes on exiting a roundabout in Italy because a scooter driver just decided that he doesn't care that I signal and am turning, he almost ended under my car. So yeah, you need immense patience, courage and mental strength to drive in Italy, because the drivers there are just mad.
Levensgevaarlijk daar, fietsen, scooters alles vliegt er doorheen, je zou daar toch maar buschauffeur zijn...wel respect hoor. Weet je wat? ik ga wel lopen!!!
They fit perfectly and transport TONS of people on slopes and hills that are torture for pedestrians every single day. That saves tons of fuel and helps a lot of people. You can see the buses are as narrow as a single lane. Traffic jams are only created by unexperienced, impatient and selfish drivers that do not accommodate others. When people wait their turn and drive properly life is piano, piano for everybody. 😘👍🍻
Des gros bus dans de petites rues ,c'est comme de gros bateaux de croisière dans un petit port: une hérésie ! Tout ce bazard pour satisfaire un tourisme sans conscience sans peine et sans compassion.
