Those big flat returns especially from Amanda's BH side are a sight to behold. Love Anna but clearly she didn't want any smoke. She's quickly approaching Tsurenko levels of frequent retirements which isn't good.

wow those returns in the begining wow.... and also anisimova is still a bit overweight but is playing very good tennis. AT least in this tournament she has proven she has amazin heavy weight returns, I can only denominate them as such. Just such pace and depth that surprises players and often has left some of them flat footed , even Sabalenko. Her movement of the ball and precision is excellent. And the her tactical ability to finish points quicker is outstanding. If she can keep hitting similarly she will easily go into the quarter finals of US open. But that is a different vibe and different tournament. I hope she can gain more fitness and I have mentioned this before. With all due respect, breast reduction. She looks really big. And maybe as she gets older it might be an issue. I hope she can shed more weght because I still - honestly - remember her as that thin 17-19 yeard old . And her tennis now, as of this tournament has gotten heavy handed. If that is a term? - you know like very powerful, a lot of depth and forcing opposite players to move from side to side. Very frustrating.

and I as additonal comments, I am so sorry for the pretty girl leaving. I honeslty wonder what is the real reason. Or what the injury was. Often times some tennis players feel shamed to lose after creating so much depth in a tournament run. I would feel so crushed knowing I tried so hard and the next player no matter what I do, is going to treat my serves as baseball TBALLS!!!. Being humbled after trying so hard? . However I hope that she has a good doctor or medical attention. And to amanda... wow. The win vs Aryna was like acid test ratio or something...I know I am experiencing tunnel vision here, there are still more tournaments and matches before US open. And as a fan I am so given to portray Amandas tennis as the world of tennis. And tennis fluctuates so much from tournaent to tournament. However it is nice to enjoy moments of brilliance and know that you have been a fan of what you knew was brilliance all along. I feel it is like being a part of a particular wave in a huge sea that has strong current and it is good to ride it but sometimes it is interrupted but you knew all along that it can came back. Sports wise anyways. Good for you Amanda.

I like Anna Kalinskaya a lot, but she retires way too often. Not a good look for her.

Slowly becoming one of the most hated players on tour. Kalinskaya has no shame, always fakes injuries when she gets humiliated. I feel sorry for Sinner. She has the charisma of a lamp post and got her minutes of fame because of Jannik after Alcaraz rejected her. She was so desperate to be on the spotlights she went into both Alcaraz and Sinner's DMs and asked them out. Poor Jannik took the bait. She is filthy and has no shame.
