If you don't have the right constitution marijuana can affect you the way she was. People with certain underlying mental health conditions should not smoke marijuana.
Tima THATS NOT TRUE!? Marijuanan can be "LACED"!? This happened to my wifes cousin he smoked FIRST TIME and he lost his mind and career and was NEVER the same! I met him he was cool and then a few years later and after that event this guy is a total different person....GONE! He just graduated colledge for computers moved and got rollin in life wanted to "BE COOL" went out and BOOM, he never came back mentally, its sad man. His parents take care of him now and he cant drive and has to kinda be babysat to a degree and yes it was from smokin!!? People please dont be naive and think Marijuana is "ONLY" Marijuana, the crap they have out here now will meeeeeess you up!
Tima He had to be picked up by his parents 4 hrs away from the hospital the night after the incident cause he could not drive himself and almost didnt know nothing he was never right again first time and last time with that crap!?
Carebear McGee Thats true people dont understand how tricky drugs are!? I have a family member that takes powerful meds for ilnesses but also drinks with them too at times and they are fine! My brother mistakenly took a powerful pain med and a lil while later had one beer and dude FLIPPED OUT and nearly killed him and 4 of his friends in a car cause the reaction hit him while he was driving, he totaled the car they where in and didnt know what happened! Drugs effect everyone differently! I choose not to do them PERIOD, its not worth it and ive seen real bad effects from them!

caitlin agbemabiese well she probably saw and felt some pretty fucked up shit and had some terrible experiences and thought processes. It's really hard to come back from those places.. in my opinion so I'm just glad she's alive idgaf if she seems weird or off lol 😂
I had a friend in H.S. that had schizo and Amanda has the same traits like her when she talks. Plus the meds they give you for that disorder makes them act more guarded.
Chrissi certain drugs can trigger underlying psychological disorders so that's probably what happened,, although pcp is honestly most likely the case to trigger it that badly
AnthMore she has bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, she was on mental health dude. maybe she decided to leave it out for a reason but idk why she would put all the blame on marijuana.

Way to go Amanda!! This is so impressive!! I am so thankful and grateful for women like this in the world. So many young teens and adults never get another chance to survive addiction. Fresh new paths give us new opportunity and growth. I am so blessed to be able to see this in everyday life. Thank you Amanda for sharing your story. That fiancé of hers she met at sober living was her latest downfall. It’s just one more downfall in the road of recovery. I think she will overcome this own too.
Is it just me or does she seem like something is still off? Like whatever drugs she was using skewed her mind a little, she sort of talks like a child being interviewed? I don't know, I was always a fan of her growing up, I hope she does do everything she says she's planning to do, I'd love to see her excel.

HM4Lyfe weed can trigger psychosis in some people. It's still a less harmful drug, statistically, than alcohol, but it can trigger schizophrenia and psychosis for a minority of people.
Weed can have bad effects on people who are at risk for Schizophrenia/Bipolar 1. Not to say that it is common, but it is still possible. Especially if you have a family history of mental illness.
triggering is different from causing mate. only idiots act like there's nothing wrong with smoking weed. let's acknowledge as a community for once that it's not "just a plant" just like coffee isn't "just a drink"

I think they forgot to mention that she was formally diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and a lot of her "bizarre" behavior was because of her condition afflicting her. Also didn't it mention a few years ago that she was doing cocaine? cocaine is a really hard drug from what I've heard.
as someone who has bipolar i'm always so sad they never choose to discuss it publicly. i know it's her and her family's personal choice but it would be so helpful to some who suffer from it (or suffer from schizophrenia) to have someone of well known status acknowledge some of the ugly and upsetting symptoms. it's a highly misunderstood disorder and needs all the publicity it can get. i have to respect her decision to keep that part of her life private though really. :(

She's a typical spoiled child star used to having everything thrown in her lap. If she wants to work again now, she will have to quite easily go to literally hundreds of auditions before she gets a bit part. That's what it's like for averages Joes in the business. With her reputation, anyone willing to touch this crazy bitch should have their head examined. She looks extremely weathered for her age too: not exactly star material, and has no background in serious films.

GMA, how come you did not mention her mental illness , like AT ALL? It's 2017, let's actively work to de-stigmatize mental illness by actually actively talking about it, yes Amanda lives w/ mental illness as do a lot of people, they need a voice and the support of their community. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Talking about becoming sober isn't going to cut it. I'm glad Amanda is doing well, she's probably on a good medication regimen, and is now able to do things that bring her happiness.

I'm glad she's happy and healthy. I grew up watching All That, watching her show, and buying her clothes when she had a clothing line. It's good to see her doing much better
she looks so much better. I think if any child actor deserves to have a second chance, it's Amanda. She was so talented and so beautiful, and went through soooo much. She does take personal responsibility for what she's done, but it ultimately was Hollywood that ruined her.
