I don't quite like his recent solo stuff as much as the New World album, there's a bit too much focus on a dance beat, while there were a lot of good vocal songs in New World. This one's probably my favourite of his newest stuff, but I don't like it as well as New World or the most recent The Rasmus album.
Ever since the Rasmus first started, I've followed them and loved them. And it's funny how they've fitted my style of music each time they've changed! Lauri is genius, his music is a big part of my life!

.I understand that many fans are going to find it difficult to adjust to Lauri's solo music and change in direction. I think what Lauri as a musician has decided to do with his career is very brave. I think that Lauris a an extremely talented musician with so much to offer. And feel at times undervalued. :( Definitely deserves more credit for his music! :) personaly I think he makes some fab dance tracks and with out doubt going to love the new album! ♥
Just remember guys, this isn't The Rasmus, it's Amanda!! The beauty of Lauri's style is that every song is a surprise. Don't come with expectations, there's nothing predictable here :)

(disclaimer: my english is terrible) Quite true: Lauri is still the author of The Rasmus' lyrics, the "tormented soul" and he's the one who created the dark atmospheres of "Dead Letters" and "Hide From The Sun", as fans can understand by his interviews. And, if we listen to "Mysteria" we can listen clearly how the solo project of Lauri influenced The Rasmus' music...
Lauri is always proving new stuffs and improve it definitly I loved it, the video was a bit weird I mean this kind of music and Lauri's style make this possible but there's no a clear idea about the video's meaning. Whatever is great to see Lauri doing what he loves and doing it right. With all this talent and beauty definitly I can say LAURI YLÖNEN IS MY FAVORITE DRUG!!
