I mean, there's no designer that captures not just my aesthetic, but my ethic more than she does. So I'm very, very honored to be in her." (Reporter: And what was the collaboration process?) Gabriela worked with an artist named Keri Ataumbi from the Kiowa Nation. She's a metalworker. She did all of my adornment. My rings, earrings, the custom in the back. And the concept was something that I mean, you talked about how the the two of them were on the same wavelength the whole time. We wanted me to feel draped in the power of my ancestors. And for both Kiowa and Blackfeet, our ancestors are the stars. That's where we come from. We all are sky beings that came to Earth, and that's the way we return when we leave and we rejoin our ancestors on the Milky Way. So it's not just random, beautiful custom stars. They're all in the shape of constellations in the night sky on the Great Plains in the summer solstice. So it's a very powerful time of the year, and it's a very, meaningful landscape of stars that I grew up seeing when I was a little girl."

"It's everything. I feel like it's so long overdue that we have so much indigenous representation in this sort of upper echelon world of high luxury fashion, because that is our aesthetic. You know, natives have always loved luxury, have always told beautiful stories for adornment. And it's just fitting that we're here. I can't wait to see Juana. I know she's somewhere on the carpet tonight, too. Yeah, we were listening to Fawn Wood 'Remember Me.' This is the closing of Missing Murdered Indigenous Relatives week. Women. Two spirit girls. Men, wearing braids for coal. Cole Brings Plenty has passed away very recently. Should have been he should have graduated from high school last week. So it's, it's a disproportionate epidemic that faces our communities. So the color typically that goes with it is red. But, you know, I like the story as well. That's our ancestors are there for us, and they're looking out for us, and they're guiding us, and, they're they're guiding us through some very difficult times."
