"Die Together" is an emotional ballad written by Amanda herself together with Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter. Amanda Georgiadis Tenfjord lives in Norway and is of Greek heritage. She was born in Ioannina in Greece and moved to Tenfjord in Norway with her family at the age of 3.🇬🇷💙
Greek heritage? That one way of putting it. She is Greek-Norwegian. Her father is Greek, her mother is Norwegian. She didn't move to Norway simply because she liked the country.
Greece is definitely one of my faves this year! It has such a different sound to all the other songs. Also very curious about the staging. 👀 Once again loved your reaction, you just manage to capture all the excitement I felt hearing those songs for the first time, it's like reliving it. Keep it up, hope you have a great day 💜
The film creator of this video clip is George karydas the same guy that filmed the last year's Greek song last dance by stefania.. Last dance video clip awarded last year with a tittle the best video clip of 2021...Also the place in the video clip is symi a greek island!
This has the melancholy that is typically Norwegian and Scandinavian, and the reason why is that Amanda is half Norwegian (her mother is Norwegian and dad Greek). She has lived in Norway since she was 3. She obviously has her musical background from Norway and thats not hard to hear when it comes to the sound. I really hope this song does well in eurovision and its cool that Greece sends something different than the usual girl with an uptempo dancing song.
Nice analysis of the silence of the song and I agree with you that it is a very beautiful song and Greece production can't bungle the staging of the live performance as they did in 2019 with Katerine Duska (the song was great but the staging awful!) Good luck for Greece from France. A top 5 for me!
THe lyrics of this song, the lyrics of "Brividi", the lyrics of "Hope" the lyrics of "Breathe". Man we have some truly brilliant lyrics this year, Then you contrast it to the filth that is "Eat Your Salad".
Well, half Norwegian is ok with me. She participated in the ESC show in Norway and was speaking Norwegian flawlessly. It all comes down to where she lives.
@@henningmathiassen412 It comes not down on where you live. I was born and raised in Germany, have a huge love for this country but I never felt german. If you think all the immigrants ( and as a former immigrant I do know) feel they have the same ethnicity with the country they live in, boy are you in for a treat. Amanda, however, is half Norwegian cause her mother is norwegian, her father is greek.
@@johny7even Wow. Calm down! No need for further dispute. Let us agree that it is up to Amanda to decide. By the way. Angelina Jordan has Swedish father, Norwegian mother, Iranian grandmother and Japanese grandfather. And you know what: She is Norwegian with an international heritage.
Even as someone who’s Greek Cypriot, I’m not that impressed with this entry ... it sounds way too English for my liking, lol. I prefer it when they sing in Greek and have ethnic music in the background. This song didn’t really impress me that much. It’s better than the British entry though.
We don't need bouzouki and tsifteteli in the background every time to remind us that a song is Greek. Greece is full of artists that create beautiful music such as this and sing wonderfully in other languages as well.
