Considering the fact that "The Nexus" and "Drop Dead Cynical" were not written with Nils's voice in mind he is great in those songs. He made Amaranthe better, in my opinion
@@siphoningstrike2248 I know, that's why it's funny. Between Helix and Manifest were 2 years, in 2023 there were 3 years already after releasing Manifest
Elize needs to work on her technique: she constantly swallows, leaves her larynx up when she jumps in the register, she doesn't control her passagio and runs out of air, she almost never manages to place her voice and keeps moving it from place to place because it seems not knowing how to achieve resonance. She sings in the tone and knows how to do some things, but she has many and big deficiencies that she has not fixed in so many years of career. When you compare her technique to the one from Camille Contreras, for example, who is interested in a similar style when singing clean is evident that Elize has a lot of deficiencies. On the other hand, most of Amaranthe songs are the same, like made by numbers, with no proposals and exploration of sound and style. They have a good guitarist and male singers but formulaic compositions.
Because Wacken doesn't upload everything at once. They record everything first and then spend whatever time afterwards trying to mix the audio and video together and then upload 😅😅😅
Probably a combination of being out of breath from being physical on stage and it being a little too low to project well at a proper volume. Hard to explain the second one unless you're a singer who has to project at a certain output level to be heard but its the wrong technique to achieve the sound you're looking for
I saw them twice in Barcelona (one with dragonforce) and they sounded shitty... I don't know if it's because there are too many elements (three singers at once, plus electronic elements, metal, etc.) or what, but I don't think I'll ever waste my money again.
Amaranthe on CD is great. Every single live performance I have seen on RU-vid - they just aren't able to do the songs justice. The power and intricancy. The musical performance. The vocals. It's just meeeeh. To bad.
This is 100% accurate, but I will say I saw them in Toronto at their first ever show in Toronto when they were tiny still and it was amazing. This was 12 years ago. They had just released their second album and they were absolutely unreal. IMO they became terrible after the second album, they lost the two male vocalists and everything changed.
@@Kimberlight 100% your 100%. I saw them open for Within Temptation in NYC in 2014 and they were fantastic, and that was in support of the second album. Everything I've seen from them after hasn't really impressed the same way. Not the biggest fan of the two newer male vocalists and Elize tends to sound better when she's performing guest slots with other bands.
@@Kimberlight I found myself looking for live recordings like this one to find out how they were live, but it seems they have no synergy with one another. I am still hoping to find some recordings of them of how they were before just from reading your reply though. I only found out about them in the last year or 2 and I am really picky about who and what I see live.
Sound mix is terrible ! Do not know if it is related to the band or to the recording. I saw them live as first part before Sabaton and it was way easier to. listen live so hopefully it is only related to the recording 🤞
Lá no início quando conheci a banda eu jurava que eles eram Mexicanos tbm achava uma vibe RBD kkkkkkk os clipes do início tinha um vibe de novela/ filme mexicano.
