Route66. I travel down that in 1972 and 1973. I am GREATFUL that you're doing it NOW ❗💯 I am praying for you. It is Sunday. I needed to have a tooth pulled today. She came in SPECIAL just for me. @@evalinawarne1337 Hi there! First please dont say I love you cuz we dont use that "ever so nonchalant phrase in Germany at all unless its family or spouse/boy/girlfriend!!! It sounds very weird! Germany is extreme in high temps as is the whole world we done had temps of 102 for a few days in a row and also stay in the high 90ies. Air condition isnt a hing here cuz it was never needed. Going run errands now its early am. God bess.

It's a lot easier to paint Drews Lens than Dutch Creek Cabin 😀Enjoying your travels. Someday you oughta travel all of Route 66 starting up in Chicago and go all the way to LA, you can mostly still follow the old route although parts of it are now I-55 in Illinois and I-44 in MO and OK.
Thanks for listing all the places, I like looking on the map to see where you have been, and I've driven I-40 through there but never stopped at any of those places.
Warning. All Easterners and Midwesterners need to change their thinking when driving in the West. Gas stations are further apart. You cannot let your gas gauge go lower than a quarter...actually half a tank is smarter. Some areas even warn you about area being sparse of service stations. And someone stopping to help can be a negative. So adjust your thinking or experience will be the teacher. Happy trails.

In my youth I traveled cross country several times, but of all that I experienced, New Mexico was the place I loved the most. They've got every thing but an ocean. The people (even the police) made me feel welcomed and comfortable.

Oops on the gas. We've all done it at least a time or two. Thanks for taking us along on your travels through Texas. There sure is alot of paint on the cars at the Cadillac Ranch! That was cool of you to pick up the garbage. It's a shame people don't pick up after themselves.
Always been on my bucket list. I want to drive all of Rt 66 from LA to Chicago. I'd actually probably do it from Chicago to LA since I'd rather end in LA and can stay and visit my people since that's where I'm originally from born and raised. Cad Ranch has cleaned up a lot. Great to see.

I am couple days late watching this! But thanks for bringing us along. One day you should go back to go back to Palo Duro Canyon and explore, it's beautiful! I am old enough to remember when the cars at Cadillac Ranch were original colors! Have a safe and wonderful rest of your trip!
I drove that road to Amarillo and it is long and I broke down with a thermostat stuck. I had to punch a hole it it and drive to the nearest parts store and replace it. Not good.
