Has the GPS function of the Bip 5 really gotten ~30% more accurate compared to the Bip U Pro? Bip U Pro only supports GPS standard, Bip 5 GPS+Galileo. Unfortunately my Bip U Pro reports too short distances when I go jogging, hence I am looking out for a new model. How well can the Bip 5 track indoor swimming (# of lanes) given it has no gyrometer?
I still have my original bip watch but am currently wearing the bip U pro. This 5 costs more and I don't think it would really be an upgrade. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come from Amazfit. Your videos are awesome 👍
The original bip still has the best battery life even after many years! I'm using GTS4 Mini now so i sold it off and I'm missing it's long battery life.
Thanks for the awesome comment, mate. I so much miss transflective displays in watches these days. But maybe in 2-3 years AMOLEDs will be bright enough
Agree. I still have my Bip 1 and it still lasts a month. I truly wish someone would make an updated transreflective watch. I wanna watch that lasts months, not days or weeks.
Lol it's oudated. The bip is way better looking for big watch fan. Look wise this is the only solid alternative to the apple watch ultra. I said 'look wise".
How large is the screen and can u control the volume? Also how strong is the Bluetooth connection and do you suggest it would work on a one plus or Samsung better?
The connection can handle distances of up to a few meters. Being in a different room will perhaps make it drop. Bluetooth signal depends from model to model (about smartphones). Only way to find out is to try
I ordered 6 units of Fitbit Versa 2 but the delivery got screwed up so i cancelled the order & bought 6 units of Amazfit Bip 5 instead. They are for my family occasion and boy they just loved the watch. Under normal use with daily evening runs or gym exercise, the battery lasted about 15-20 days for most of us. That's great considering we have to charge our phones daily or sometimes twice a day with heavy usage..
I have to say i'm a bit wary of amazfit's battery degradation over time. I have the Zepp E, have had it less than a year and the battery live has taken a nose dive. Used to last me 6-7 days, now barely gets me through 3.
I don’t think that’s limited to just Amazfit. I have an Apple Watch that can’t keep a charge longer than ten hours and a Fitbit charge 5 (or whatever the latest charge is) that lasts two days.
Hi! Thank you very much for the amazing review. I'm a bit undecided between the Amazfit Bip 5, Amazfit GTS4 mini and the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4. In Portugal, all 3 are at the same price. Which one would you recommend?
Hey, i need to buy a watch before tomorrow so please respond fast :C Should i buy the bip 5 or the gts 4 mini (They are the same price), what are the differences between each one and which one do you prefer? I need to get this watch for my mom because its her birthday party today, and she said she needs a big screen, it has to be accesible, so take that in mind too. Her current watch is the huawei watch fit, and she wants something like that or better. She needs a good balance in every aspect of the watch, but mainly activities and work stuff. the more features the better Im sorry if this sounds overwhelming or annoying, but i really need to know this, so thanks for answering :)
Wait you said 300mah battery and it can last for 5 to 25 days? So, does this mean that Samsung galaxy 6 watches can fix the battery life problem with an update you think? I mean the GW8 I have tried out has a 425mah battery and it last for about 1day and maybe 10 hours.
Not really. Battery consumption is down to many factors. The OS here is primitive, so is the hardware. This is why a quartz-watch can last 2 years with a button battery. WearOS watches are like smartphones - they use a lot of battery
I bought the 5, and it is a beautiful and capable watch but the speakerphone -when making phonecalls- is ridiculously low in volume, although for other functions like the assistant it is loud enough. I hope a firmware update will solve this. In your video the reception is surely amplified by your camera's microphone. I have to put the watch close to my ear to understand anything, even inside my house.
I bought the Bip 5 for my partner, and her watch had the same problem. Just increase the call volume on your phone, and the watch's sound will be louder. I hope this helps.
@@stafvh5783 That is super nice. I am thinking about getting my first smart watch. I have held out not needing them, well really I do not need it. I am hard of hearing and want one on my wrist so when my phone rights I can use the watch to answer it. This should help from missing a lot of calls.
Good morning, Can the stopwatch run in the background? If you start the stopwatch and exit the function just long enough to change music or look at a notification, does it continue to run once you return to it (without resetting it to 0 each time)? THANKS ! :)
You have to use your phone to start the music but as long as you’re connected to your phone via Bluetooth you can use the watch to skip song replay song or pause the song. I’ve had my bip 5 for about 4 days now and I’m loving it
Is there no emoji and other language support on incoming notification info? and what about voice command option except alexa which is not supported here in Nepal. plz help
I was looking at a fitbit charge 6 ($100 but small screen and doesn't offer many bells and whistles and a more expensive $200 galaxy watch. I'm surprised this is like the best of both worlds. Not as expensive as a galaxy watch but seems to do all the same things. Less than a fitbit charge 6 and yet offers more
I watched both your reviews on Active 2 Samsung and this bip 5 I never opened my active 2 I got two years ago. so, I don't know if I should finally open it and return my bip 5 i got yesterday as a gift. or keep lol. I'm a runner I didn't realize I should have been using it because I don't really wear watches. so, it seems this one has better GPS tracking and speakers for calling i mainly just want the running specs like heartrate and miles per second ect. there's no subscription for the app I'm not sure if active 2 did or not anyways what you think lol. also my phone is Samsung.
@@TechMishka Thanks lol I did open the active 2 decided newer must be better lol. Of course, I read this before I did. Made me first run with it today and was good. I also saw that the active 2 will stop receiving updates in 2023 as well. Anywho thanks cya
The company should not have touched the 45 days always on battery life. That was their trademark. Now I think that they not only killed their flag ship watch but also saturated the market with some unwanted watches that confuses the consumer. They should return to the Bip 45 days always on and innovate on that particular model. I for one am staying away from this model till they get their act together.
Good review as always Was wondering if you're going to review the Amazfit Balance as I'm trying to decide between that , the Ticwatch Pro 5 & the Galaxy watch 6 So many nice looking watches out it's hard to choose 👍🏾
Has anyone run into this issue where they accidentally enabled a Lock Screen setting? I can’t disable it and it’s driving me crazy. I have to hold down the button on the side to unlock my watch every time. Can’t find the setting to undo it for the life of me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've had three devices from them in the past, but they all had bugs that they never fixed even though I reported them about a dozen times over several years. The most irritating one was that several times I had the watch just reset and lose all tracking in the middle of a multi-hour kayak workout; I saw I was up to several miles, 15 minutes later I looked at it again and it was back to just the watch face and it must have rebooted because it had no workout in memory at all. This happened 3 times to me over 2 different devices.
My first amazfit watch was amazfit bip 3. I loved the build quality and customizable UI. Then, I suddenly bought a used amazfit bip lite, just on a whim . Now, I have one bip lite and three bip S. And I am not going back 😅😅.
Would I be able to track my child using this watch? Most watches either require a SIM card or can only track within a few meters using Bluetooth. Can the watch be linked to more than one phone and can I track the watch from the Zepp OS, like a find my watch feature using GPS?
I request that amazfit have become weird company although it is only making smartwatches. Tech tubers should say good bye to amazfit if it wishes the same by increasing price for addition of must have things with time
@@TechMishka good to hear that sir but prices of the watch have soured up too. Amazfit is only making smartwatches and so they should be able to deliver premium experience at a definite exclusive price. If people want experience all the phone makers have their own smartwatch category
