Amazfit GTR 2 boot looping issue part 1, how I managed to restart watch to factory reset.

After two weeks of use my GTR 2 just went to boot looping without any reason, during exercise.
Have tried various options but due to i am out home cannot get it for waranty and still tring to restart.
Had some strange success in freezer which actually may help to someone which is still need to do factory reset.
So first part tells how I managed to restart the watch with idea that there is water inside which is shortcutting.
In next part i will try to dry them out and see if there is chance to recover this watch.

Cant believe on this, but its help me:D I dont use watch more than 2 month. And they go in loop reboot. 1. Put on freezer, wait till they full discharge, When they stop beeping and relogin (take near 30 mins). 2. Then hold "ON" button for 10 sec, release it. And they start! Even with my custom interface.. 4. I imediatly go to settings and restore to deffault all. Now they're charging, and for now all ok. Will see )

Thanks so much Mihails 🙏 you saved my watch 😅 it was the humidity, I put it under the sun for several hours and it started to work again 🎉

What about me the issue is from third party watch faces what should I do put it in the sun?

@@yashaadi11 no stay awwwwwaaaayyyy from it buy a huawei or a band stay from amazfit bcz iff you applied any third party watch face and the application updates the firmware of the watch will stuck like this you must to apply the original watch face when any update is happening.... Buy a mi band 6 or huawei gt 2 or band watch stay away from amazfit

Try to update gtr to last version or reset it back to factory settings and pair it again, may be it will help, looks like glitch in soft

My Amazfit gtr doesn't turn or charge. The amazfit logo blinks when connected to charger. That's it. Any solution?

@@RegeraTheMeMer 90% it might be an issue with the battery. This happens if the battery doesn't hold the charge.

@@RegeraTheMeMer My GTR doesn't have the boot loop issue. It doesn't turn on. When connected for charging, the logo appear and disappear. This continous until the charger gets disconnected. When I contacted a technician he told me that it might be an issue with the battery and replacimg the battery may solve the issue. As the battery is not available in India, theres no way I can replace it.

@@SPAN25 now I'm losing hope cuz my GTR too blinks when connected to charger and respectively this turns off as I remove it from the charger(the same issue u faced) but still try keeping it in fridge n if it works for this blinking loop then let me know.

This is how i fix gtr bootloop bcs 3rd apps ( facewatch) : 1. Unpair your gtr from apps Zepp 2. Charge ur gtr 3. While u charge the watch, open apps Zepp, and add new device, choose pair without qr code 4. Pairing to ur gtr, and done

tried to do so, and many other tricks and magic scenarios of recovering. unfortunately zepp didn't see watch.

It depends on what issue you get with the watch, for me it unfortunately was hardware and watch was replaced, likely if software is glitching you can reset to factory settings

Try to unpair from zepp and try to add again to zepp, if you cannot quit bootlooping, try switch off, put in cold freezer for 20-30 minutes and restart again

If you, part 2 of this troubleshooting, i was able to reset but it still was going to boot loop. Expect this has battery fault or something, when it got to ambient temperature it was boot looping again, either battery either micro crack, which eliminates when watch is cold and appears when watch material expands to normal temperature. Finally i got new watch from warranty.

Just to add, since one year with another watch do not have any issues, still ok, seems like first badge of GTR 2 had internal issues which AMazfit had to fix

There is only one working solution. Get a new charging cable. If it doesn't work modify a charging cable and connect two charging port directly until it start charging. Wait for few minutes and then put your watch on charging using new charging cable. If charging doesn't start just press and hold on the watch face and change it to default. Wait until your watch reached 10 to 15 percent of charging. After that connect your watch with zepp. Perform factory reset. Boot loop will be gone. Enjoy

Please help me further and explain in more detail,how---modify a charging cable and connect two charging port directly until it start charging???---I put in freezer an 25 minutes,but not working for me,steel boot loop,but i see my charging kable is working becouse i disconnetct from charging,and Amazfit gtr2 is boot looping for long time after i remove charging kabel,what now,?help please!

I have already explained it. Freezer wont work. You are getting boot loop because 1. Damaged charging cable 2. Custom watch face 3. Fully drained battery Follow my previous instruction. If you dont understand it just Buy a new charging cable and try charging it.

As update, watch was handed over to service at the beginning of October after one month I have received new watch, meaning service was not able to fix this issue

Hola! me sucedió lo mismo, es un problema del procesador, por lo que aplicándole calor con una pistola de aire caliente a 250° y 60 de aire por un minuto podrás recuperar tu reloj.

@@javier3522 Hola! But you need to apply the heat only on the processor? Do you have more info what causes malfunction?

@@dariusz07 Perhaps the cause is a bad welding, I applied heat for a minute to the largest shielded plate that is on the main board of the clock. The heat was distributed throughout the armored plate evenly.

@@dariusz07 The same thing happened to me, the clock stayed on the logo and if I placed it in the fridge it returned until it returned to room temperature.

After it warmed up, did it continue looping?

Yes, after it came to normal temperature it start looping again, next step would try to dry it in case it is water.

@@mihailspetrunins9178 In my case, it wasn't water that got in. It just stopped. I did it the way you said it, but it went back to looping.

@@gstvfirmo Have you made it frozen, as i made it frozen not just cold and than it managed to start, than i did factory reset, however after it got to room temperature it started looping again. I am not sure it is water but it is really strange in my case anyway.

Looks like gtr2 pro not a reliable model, friend of my got issue with watches after 6 months, first gtr I had for few years without an issue therefore went for new amazfit
