My teenage son has had the Amazfit Bip for couple of years now. Uses their own OS and GPS and smart notifications but apart from fitness and health tracking it’s not super smart. But the battery life is great going for weeks on battery save mode
The Bip is one of the best trackers ever designed! I think it's much closer to a fitness tracker rather than a smart watch. I love the fact it has transflective screen too! I wish some day smartwatch makers can keep the same good battery life and get is more smart features.
I still keep my bip after 3 years. I always say that Amazfit got wrong with it, because is almost perfect. Even better if you install bipos files, giving: bigger letter, calculator, alarms control, music control, etc
Been using Bip for almost 3 years. It survived 2 marathons and a lot of 5 & 10K races. I gotta say this is the best watch they ever made for the price and features. Their other watches has more features but came with flaws & bugs.
In your future reviews can you please dedicate a bit more time to notification management? One of most problematic area for both Tizen, WearOS and alternative smartwatch platforms while notifications are a core feature for any smart or feature watch.
Agreed! Will do so. In short - you can only read the messages and clear them. You have a queue of up to 10 (at least that's how many I've tested). Not the whole messages are shown. Sadly - no options for predefined answers.
Greetings from Greece, dear Michael! First of all, thank you for your detailed and thorough videos! I own an Amazfit Bip watch and I am thinking of replacing it because it is not precise in its GPS performance, it even fails to lock satellites sometimes... So, my question is: how accurate is the GTS 2e, regarding the GPS, and how many hours of GPS use can the user expect from a single charge? Thank you in advance! My best regards!
Heey Christos, thanks so much for your support! I hope my answer doesn't arrive too late: So far I've never had an Amazfit device with exceptional GPS accuracy. But the one that was close to being excellent - T-rex Pro. As for the GTS2e - it may last around 24hrs with GPS on, as far as I remember.
Truth is I wanted to HONOR Band 6, I've waited for the global ver which has come out, but now there's a new Mi Band 6 which is newer, as well as the Huawei band 6 which is a newer version of the HONOR band 6, Not sure what to get now since if I get this or that, a new one with new feature will come out the second I receive my (yet to decided) band. Which should I go with?
@@TechMishka I've watched a lot of material about the HONOR band 6 and the Huwaei band 6, I might choose one of them, can't afford two, also it's my first band. And it will be from Aliexpress so returning items back to them is a bit of a hassle I like your channel. I do vlogs, creative brolls, animation etc.. and I'm also watching your Gimbal reviews, though most tell me I don't need any since my filming capabilities are good but I do like watching your stuff. Lemme know if you want to cooperate sometimes. Keep it up.
Hi Mihail I’ve seen on another review that the HR tracking on this watch is not as accurate as the GTS2 mini. Did you notice any significant differences when trying the 2 watches out regarding GPS or HR tracking?
Nice. I have the Bip S. But I had issues with the app loading the data on multiple devices. I had to delete my account and lose the data. Support to recover my account access was non existent. That is why I had to start fresh. Maybe it was due to the transition to zepp. But support was extremely poor. But I do like their watches and prices are reasonable. The font in the app for running exercise data is often too small and not very legible compared to apps like Strava. Anyway I am happy with the Bip S. Nice review. Mikahil is not hard to pronounce. Everyone knows the last Soviet leader”s first name!
Ahahahaha, that last part made me laugh!!!! Thing is that maybe our generation remembers it, but Putin has been for long enough to make sure that most people born in the 90s and after remember him only.
@@TechMishka When the watch language is set to English and I receive notifications in Cyrillic, the letters are displayed as blocks. That's the issue that I've previously encountered with the Amazfit products. Some people were flashing custom fonts that support the correct encoding, but this trick works only on android. I'd really appreciate if you can check since this is the only thing that's putting me off from buying it straight away, especially after your positive review.
Why no any reviews of the straps?! Is it universal, how it fits, does it make your hand sweaty or rash? How easy to replace? Does it wear off quickly, etc.
Depends if you like square or round smart watch. The GTR - the R is for round GTS - S for square . As for specs I think they are the same . Maybe on the R these screen is a bit bigger and probably the battery as well.
Oh, now I know how my name sounds in one more language! I so much hoped to sync the 100-K with my birthday (monday), but I guess it will happen a bit later. Nevermind, these are just numbers and I feel blessed because the channel has connected me with a lot of awesome people like you. Cheers to that! (drinking just juice though! 😇 )
I found that my resting pulse with normal variability is accurate within 2-3 beats. Spikes and troughs with or without exercise can be out from actual by 27% tested with my own devices and a hospital plethysmograph. This means that for exercise, this watch in my opinion is not suitable for measuring the heart rate. Bottom line: wait for a firmware update that may fix this before purchasing, if HR accuracy is important to you
Ferrari was owned by Fiat -Chrysler (yikes!!) and founded under Alpha Romeo....also NOT a daily driver either so the "Renault " is 1/4 the price and runs @ worst 4 days on a tank tell me about the Ferrari again 18hrs on a tank ? $400?.....yeah I agree its no Renault
