Excellent summing-up in the end and final thoughts of how Amazfit shoud shift their focus on the wellness accuracy of their watches. And when the hopefully do, they will be one of the best amongst the top-rated.

Hi there. Great review. I'm coming to the conclusion that at my stage in life, I'm more of a hiker. I'm not an ultra-athlete (never was) or runner anymore. I just like to monitor stress, sleep, steps and a few other wellness-related aspects. This is why I'm sticking with my original Garmin Instinct Solar (besides the cost 😏). I'm always amazed/impressed where smartwatch technology has gone. I always will be, but I do like the craftmanship of traditional watches. Just my two cents. Thanks for your reviews. I truly enjoy them. Keep it up. 😉

Hi FG Hunter, very good video as always!!!! Do you know if the AOD brightness bug is finally fixed on this watch? Earlier if the brightness was set to high (by the watch using auto-brightness) due to bright environment and then the watch went to always-on mode, the AOD remained on the same high brightness as the non-AOD was. Also do you know if the always on mode has a static brightness or now it is variable like on the Epix or AW? Thanks a lot! Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much for compliments! Yes - I didn't find that happening at all in AOD mode. It was variable for me! Thanks.

Great review. Agree 100 percent with your conclusion. Great looking watch and build quality but sucks on accuracy and health metrics.

Would you (only in your opinion) go with T-Rex ultra, garmin instinct 2x tactical or garmin fenix 7 pro?

Hey there, I use my watches for very similar activities (Xfit, WL, a bit of running) and don't need fancy maps, 3 months of battery, etc. I find your reviews really helpful b/c I've been on the search for a watch that will help me evaluate training, recovery, sleep, etc. I recently picked up a GT4 and was thinking about one of these. The HR isn't an issue for me b/c I always use a Garmin strap (only way to make any of these watches really useful). Similar to your experience, I was getting CRAZY high training load for not much work...until I accidentally recorded a run and it captured a VO2 Max. Once it had that data, all the training info changed considerably, and made the data more usable for me. That said, any additional info from Zepp Coach? Looks like it might be a cool tool...or gimmick. Tough to tell w/o trying it out. Thanks for testing all these watches -- really helpful!

Hey! Yes - the TL did calm down for me a bit after some further testing. Down the road you might want to look at the Garmin 265 for a much more comprehensive and complete offering.

@@lkorchnak no I wouldn't. I've been wearing for weeks and it's def the best on the market but like a large margin, imo. I wouldn't wait - any issues are just chatter imo
