An acquaintance gave me a broken Circular Saw with no pedestal. Not having a pedestal was convenient for me. Make the most of its features and DIY a Vertical Panel Saw! #diy #VerticalPanelSaw #CircularSaw
This is cool. I really want to make one of these. I need to use so much plywood and other boards, i'm just getting fed up of cutting them by hand holding the tools. I'm going to try and make one that will turn 90 degrees and be able to cut the panels/boards horizontally too. But this and other videos are all giving me advice and tips on how to design it. Thank you for this.
@diyjapan-taro hi. Yes it was very useful and yes hand sawing is very tiring. I've done it on boards for a long time now. I find you get more of a straight line then even using an electric saw handheld. Obviously if I want a perfect straight line I do that. If its for something that don't need to be perfect, I will hand hold an electric saw. But I really need to make a board saw.
You intuitively seem to know where to put things without measuring except when you calibrate for square. Having a DYI panel saw would help me a lot. I’ll try to build it. Do you offer the plans?
Thank you for watching my video and for your comment! I design using minor 3D CAD software. Therefore, I cannot provide my design plan to you. Even if I provide it, you cannot open it. 3D CAD image has been uploaded as a short video below. Please refer to it for your work. ru-vid.comd__VCMzZQ4E?feature=share
