Amazing and Cute 3 year old kid mountain biking! (strider bikes rule!) 

Straight up adorable. And what a great way for kids to get used to bikes. I wish I had that when I was a wee lad.

this kid keeps this up he'll never be big/obese! Yay! Healthy energetic kids! go parents!

My son and I watch these prebike videos every morning while I get ready for work, while he sits on his bike and gathers inspiration. This is one of the best we've ever seen (and I think we've seen them all by now. Extremely well done!!! We're making one of our own (though not as cool since we're just in Brooklyn).

The strider is awesome! Me and my 3 year old daughter go riding all the time! She loves watching youtube vids of other kids riding them!

Striders are awesome! Best "toy" we ever got the little dude. Still uses it even though he has a "big boy" bike now.

You absolutely were right ;-) The strider was the best money we spent on anything our son used. He started riding it just before he was two. His strider was donated to our friends who have twins and they are already rolling around like pros and they are two as well. Happy trails to you!

My 2 year old got a balance bike for Christmas (2012). Can't wait until we get some warmer weather here in Indiana so I can take him to the park to learn to ride and find some trails.

Love the strider my little guy started at about 1.5y/o and 2 weeks ago took off on a pedal bike no training wheels at 3y/o!!

I'm looking into a strider for my 2 year old and low and behold a video comes up and you guys are close to where I was born lol we lived in ironton till I was 5. Used to go splashing around lake Mil lacs all the time!

This bike is AWESOME and my son has literally put 100’s of miles on it through the end of last year and this year. Today he is taking this bike around full on mtb single track trails at speed and with confidence.

This is so awesome. I can't wait for Christmas. I have twin boys that are 2 and I'm getting them these.

It is a "strider bike" or a balance bike. It helps toddlers learn balance and steering well before they could handle a pedal bike. My son was 2 when he started "riding" it.

Wow what a cutie! How good is he on his bike! I have just bought my son one of these bikes, i think they are fab. he has skipped the using his feet part and keeps trying to glide alone, for about 3 seconds and then he falls off, very funny. Will get him to watch this and see if he gets the idea. Great video. Lovely to see you both having a great time.

Awesome! So glad you liked the video. I swear that Strider should refund my purchase price of that strider because I know I have sold a TON of them via this video :-) 10+ friends of mine have gotten striders for their kids after seeing ours and this video. Fun times.

We probably did somewhere between 5-8km that day. Pretty good for a 3.5 year old :-) Now my son is 4.5 and riding a pedal bike on those trails and does about 10km. He loves it! I have a video of these same trails that I am working on that I took last month with Alex (my son) on his pedal bike. Pretty cool to see how much better he has gotten.

Eventually I ran across a small Canadian company called Spawn Cycles. Maker of quality children’s balance and pedal bikes. After talking with the owner I ordered the 16” banshee model and could not be happier. Yes it was a bit more expensive but it came out of the box ready to rip it up with high quality front/rear v-brakes, freewheel, and even lighter weight overall. I could not have upgraded the hotrock to an equivalent level for less.

For mainstream bike makers the Specialized HotRock 16 was what I found to be the best option. At about 225 it was “reasonably” priced, aluminum frame, and fairly light. I picked one up for Alex and he rode it half the year last year. Major draw back on the bike was that it only had a coaster brake and no real easy option for adding front and rear v-brakes. This was a safety issue on rocky steeper trails so I went out looking again.

I know this is an old video, but I'm going to share it with my daughter who is just learning on her balance bike. She'll love it!

Alex is now 5 and ripping up the trails on his "big boy" bike. Going to be leaving dad in the dust in just a few years I am sure... :-)

Great video. Agree that Strider bikes are superb.

The ride was probably about 3-4 miles with the ever important "snack" break in the middle. Probably took us an hour or so. He either rode or walked the bike the whole way. Rode most except for the very steep up hill sections. Nope, Alex (my son) would never ride in one of those trailers or seats. He has always wanted to be ripping around on his strider bike and now his pedal bike. Take a look at my newer video I did of him this year. Start them early!

Yes he rides it both on and off road. Out of the box the spawn cycles bike had a bit more upright (BMX) style handle bars and less nubby tires which suits it for road riding. I swapped out the bars and the tires to be better off road. Good luck!

Hi and greetings from Finland! This is our favourite mountain bike video at the moment :). My 2,5 y old son is learning to go on his strider bike and we found this video to motivate him a bit more. The reason why he walks is the fact that he's using a balance bike- a balance bike is a bike where you learn how to balance without pedals.
