I know. If you didn't see the silhouette of the Lego camera man in the shadow in left hand corner you'd think they were real. I think they cost around a buck 2.98.
Very quick and agile cat 6015B with an excellent operator. Loading approximately 2000 cubic yards/hour. Having 40 experience as a heavy equipment Constrution superintendent, I am impressed. I enjoy watching your videos.
I'm sure these guys know what their doing but .... I wonder if 1 scoop a truck may have moved more material over time . Seems they have plenty of trucks waiting to take material . Maybe easier on the trucks also . Awesome machine . I've run a 40 ton long stick excavator and it felt huge .
Fuel cost and transmission is something that may be adversarial, at least I presuppose. There's also the potential that each of the trucks has a particular circuit, and that "two scoops" is a redundancy strategy, by means of rate limiting. Perhaps too, there may be limited "lane space" (forgive me, I have no idea of the proper verbiage invoked in this industry as of now), which further justifies the rate limiting hypothesis. Is it common for multiple excavators of this size/operational cost to be on site at a time? I assume that if it's not common it is at the very least happening here in this scenario. Regardless, that's a fair point you pose on the mechanical integrity of the trucks.. I'd imagine that a truck decommissioned due to mechanical issues would be more expensive then any transmission issues.
@@trejohnson7677 Yeah I'm sure they have the most efficient way figured out - I don't think you buy a million$+ machine without knowing how to best use it unless your the government . I'm just basing it on there always seems to be a truck waiting on the excavator while he's filling another . A trucker once told me " you have to keep those wheels turning ". Happy New Year Tre👍
What exactly are they mining here? This operator definitely knows his business. As a 26 year construction veteran (operator by trade and currently working as a project superintendent), I'm impressed.
Very good video and sound. The huge rams amazes me how the seals between the ram and cylinder casing that allow the ram to slide in and out, contain the enormous hydraulic pressures involved.
No more pressure then a normal size machine, just much bigger ram, so the pressure goes alot further as far as making force, it's pressure x surface area to get strength,
So many questions: Why is the soil colored in layers like that? I mean, specifically, there in Greece, where they are mining. What are they after from the soil? Is this overburden or their goal material?
But it's simple than mini excavator. I ran on at Doha Qatar at 23 years for good six months but now I'm back in my native country (Kenya) with 320 DL cat and it's tire some than this 6015
