I read this same story in a book.. Adam(phuh) asked Musa (pbuh) when did Allah (SWT) recite surah Taha? Musa (pbuh) said 1000 years before the creation of heaven and earth. Adam (pbuh) told him there is a verse in it that says *And Adam and his wife ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred." (****20:12****1)* Allah ta'ala knows best.

And not only that but kill Jesus Christ PBUH who at the same time is God himself and his own son. And you have the audacity to say that the Prophet PBUH is a madman? God has already made Adam the Khalifa of the Earth, and when Adam asked for forgiveness from Allah, Allah forgave him immediately. He didn't have to torture any innocent person to forgive him and he didn't hold us humans accountable for a sin we didn't commit!

If Adem(as) weren't sent to world He wouldn't be able to understand his abilities and his Creator. Human being is created different than Angels we can be either better than them or worst than animals. He repented and understood that God is Merciful. If He stayed in Jannah He would be like Angels in constant level which Allah already created Angels like that so what was the point of creating Adem(as) then?

They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."
The purpose was God's mercy for creating a life form. Someone who would get exposed to both the bad and the good deeds still repent and turn upon towards Allah. Angels are very clear hearted they don't do anything bad. Gin are strong and very jalal(short tempered). Human has everything in order and we are completely in our position to control ourselves to fall into wrong deeds or to do a good deed.
To become eternally in heaven, we have to passed this test in life first. And humans were even offered whether want to bear this test or not (Quran 33:72) "Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant."

We were already destined to earth even before Adam (as) was created. Allah (sw) told the Angels that he will create a successor in the earth. (Al baqara 30)وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ (30).. Verily Allah knows best

Mohammed sameer this is found in saheeh Al bukhaari. Saheeh Bukhari Volume 8, Book 77, Number 611: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Adam and Moses argued with each other. Moses said to Adam. 'O Adam! You are our father who disappointed us and turned us out of Paradise.' Then Adam said to him, 'O Moses! Allah favored you with His talk (talked to you directly) and He wrote (the Torah) for you with His Own Hand. Do you blame me for action which Allah had written in my fate forty years before my creation?' So Adam confuted Moses, Adam confuted Moses," the Prophet added, repeating the Statement three times.
In the beginning of the video, I thought to myself, Adam AS did this to us and I was angry like Musa AS. Then the video took a turn and Alhamdulillah it's all clear. I also found the explanation of one of the comments below also very helpful where the writer said, "Adam AS was created to be different than the angels, he was created to be curious etc." That's why he ate from the tree. If he hadn't, Allah SWT would have created another Adam AS who would disobey Allah SWT, eat from the tree, and then repent... jzk to everyone.

That means by default Allah send us all to earth no matter what Adam A.S did. Prophet Muses A.S gave us a favour by asking this question directly to Adam A.S and thanks to my beloved Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him for narrating about this meeting between two Prophets. Do you have proof from hadith/Quran for that? I know Iblis used to be Muslim(In submission to Allah swt) but became arrogant and disobedient hence a kafir(disbeliever/rejector). The conversation was like this according to Miskat Sharif: Musa: Dear father, of all the foods there in Jannah that you could have eaten and not finish them in an entire lifetime, was it necessary for you to not avoid that one fruit and eat it? Adam: Why? Musa: You ate it and that's why you had to come to this Duniya, we all had to come to this Duniya. Now I get to deal with Pharaoh on a daily basis, which is making my life a living hell. This wouldn't have happened at all if you just didn't go near that tree and ate that fruit! Why did you eat it? Adam: I ate that fruit and that's why we all had to come to this Duniya? Who told you that? Were you there when it happened? Musa: It doesn't matter if I was there or not, it is said in the Torah! The Holy Book that was revealed to me by Allah, it's mentioned in there that you have done that work! You ate that fruit! Adam: Oh? it's in the Torah? Okay. So, do you know about Torah and when it was written? Musa: Of course! Why wouldn't I know about the Holy Book that was revealed to me by Allah? The Torah was written 50,000 years prior to Your birth! Adam: Oh...? ...Is that so? Your Torah was written 50,000 years prior to my birth? Musa: Yes! The Holy Torah was revealed to me! Why wouldn't I know about its history!? Adam: Ok then. My dear child, tell me this... How am I guilty of the things that was already said in your Holy Book which was written 50,000 years prior to my own birth? Where is my fault that I've done it? Musa: ... Adam: Did I do it myself or I just did it because he (Allah) wanted it to happen? Musa: ... (dead silence) Muhammad (SAW): Adam squashed Musa fair and square just like that and thus won the argument. (chuckled while he said it because a father's pride is a son's own pride)
Well If Adam (A.S) hadn't had that fruit we wouldn't have been the ummah of the best of creation, Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), so thank enough ALLAH for this colossal favour bestowed upon us for being the luckiest ummah to serve under the final & last messenger! So how many favours from ur lord would u deny?!
basically this was an experiment .if Adam and hava (as) would haven't eaten from that tree probably Allah would have wiped them and would have created other being or specie ....even in quran Allah say that if these humans wouldn't sin and would be perfect I would have killed them and created another specie who would sin and then pray to me for forgiveness...... Allah actually wanted them to eat that thing bcoz it was a part of that experiment that make difference between angels and humans ...so this was actually a very genious idea to observe that does this creation have curiosity, thinking ability, emotions, ability to regret and etc ...... if Allah actually wanted them to not to eat from that tree he would have placed that tree Farr from their reach ....i mean paradise is soo vast and huge that they would have never found that tree till now ..... so Allah first created Adam (as) , he taught him to speak by memorising him the names of every thing and may be expressions .this was the first test ,the second was to see if he is feeling alone and he actually felt that so Allah created hava (as) from his rib . now there r two humans taking care of each other , now another test was to see if both of them have curiosity and thinking ability so Allah told them u can eat evvvvery thing "except" that fruit and Allah actually showed them which tree or fruit so it made them curious and to think why ! somewhere inside they were fighting with their nafs and curiosity until they ate that . the other test begins to see if they care about the sin they committed and do they have feelings of guilty or regret and they passed that test also so Here Allah didn't says them that this was just an experiment bcoz if he would have done that they (adam and hava) would have taken the situation very lightly and carelessly, so Allah send both of them to earth as they r now worth to be send on earth as humans since they succeed all the tests with the Regret and both of them where separated from each other and here another test begins and that is the Survival test . to survive on earth wasn't easy since this earth was full of troubles new experience like heat , cold , pain , hunger , fear , weather , animals and what not . the reason Allah separated them wasn't actually punishment but it was bcoz if both of them would haven't separated from each other they would have been died due to hopelessness and the troubles and hurdles of earth so Allah separated them so that there would be a reason for them to find each other again and to share their experience and the discoveries they did .so their meeting point was the graduation time where both of them were enough prepared to fight with the troubles that they r going to receive on this earth and then Allah blessed them with children's and the race of human's begain to develop and germinate and spread widely .......
Shah Himayoun allah subhanaho wa taâla doesn't need to experiment ! He knows perfectly what kind of creation he made ! Allah (swt) made the heaven and the earth to test humans and jinn ! The sinn of adam (pbu) show the deference of humans from the angels , and how the humans worship allah (swt) the best way by repentance ! Angels don't repent because they don't sin in the first place ! We would have been placed in earth even if adam (pbu) didn't eat from the tree

elitecenafan yes its sin for us but not for prophets because prophets dont sin and i have even heared that some prophets might do minor sins but they r infallible and prophets do as Allah command. the thing which hazrat Adam alayhis salam did was a mistake we dont call it a sin we interprete it as hazrat Adam Alayhis salam made him to forget the command bcoz Allah have already decree to Angels that he will appoint a Khalifa on earth so it was All planned even b4 Allah made Adam alayhis salam
