We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. ru-vid.comUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.
I am a beginner to woodwork, the main test I have with this bundle ru-vid.comUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt is that I think that its hard to settle on a choice of the plan and outline to use as there are a large portion of them there. Nonetheless, I like the simple stride to step directions laid out there.
I love videos like this... nd honestly I just clicked without paying attn to the title and the whole time was full screen like "wth is he making" LOL. Sue me for being focused haha. But yeah the moment you went to make the legs. Awesome work!
I love the attention to detail.... The way everything lined up perfectly, the dovetails were snug right off the bat and wouldn't even need to be glued. All corners met up tightly, with no visible gaps. crafting something this impressive with absolutely no tearout is a true testament to the many years of training and experience these exceptional tradesmen possess.... My favorite part was the meticulous sanding process to get that silky smooth finish, and not to mention when he cut the box open, how perfectly centered the cut was, creating two identical halves, later joined by perfectly seated and aligned hinges to create a seamless and virtually invisible joint between the halves when the box is displayed in it's closed position! 10/10 will watch again, as this video has indeed changed my life in such a profound way that I must have more.... More woodworking, more glue-ups, more alignment and more irony in my life....
Hard to hide 2 legs at the hinge. Probably why he avoided it. What I would do is bolt 2 sturdy wood bars that swing over to both sides, would firm up the table.
What a great table, but oh dear, what a poor quality of work! I'm impressed in two completely opposite directions! Take your time to NOT damage the part with your tool! Take your time to work precise with your tools! Take your time to finish up the parts! Can you see it? The only thing you have to change for a better quality, is taking your time!
It is very amazing technology in old antique woodwork furnitures of Burmese, and during the invention of printing machine,Burmese played wonderful creations of letters numbers fonts blocks made of teakwood.
@@golden36 it absolutely is a dovetail. It’s a sliding dovetail. What videos are YOU watching where that isn’t a dovetail? There are other dovetails besides pin and tail 👌
Design is simple to make using common shop tools - tools planer, table saw, router, router jig, drills etc. Table legs - brilliant solution using power hand planer. Easy to find on hardware used. Finishing is simple with pleasant looks!
Design - Awesome, elegant even. Workmanship - absolute careless crap mass produce methods. Bang it together and get it out the door. All closeups show hideous gaps, fills, and misalignments in all six faces. Look at the main case glue up - huge misalignments and gaps Have to respect the buck they made for the short time they put into it, though.
I have a couple of store-bought dovetail jigs and a homemade one for use on my table-saw. This is way slicker than any of those. I"m building this as soon as I get home.
Saludos cordiales y excelente tu Mesa Plegable
It is both overengineered and underegineered. It is way to complex and costly to connect the flat top to the sides this way and cut on the table saw. It is not complex enough with regards to the middle section, leg compartment (should be proper joints to hold the legs inside) and the handles - should be one not two handles. It is a nice bit of effort and a great experiment for fun. Thank you for the video!
Beautiful. How strong is the middle where he was working with the laptop? Maybe some sort of support that attaches underneath and lengthwise? Would be a shame if it cracked or split with some weight on the top.
Interessante.
You may be prepare one Tailaring table model mechine like this box model and kept all in one like table...I hope you may plane that. I like your thinking. .
