Just a quick break from our South America vlogs to share this insanely awesome few nights we just had pre-xmas cruising! Much love, and MERRY CHRISTMAS from us🥰
Thank you for sharing this vid,my wife and I are going on the Celebrity Edge Feb 2025 on a 2 week cruise to the Bay of Islands,Fiji,Samoa and American Samoa for our 30th wedding anniversary,we have an ocean view cabin but after watching this we have decided to upgrade to the infinite veranda cabin, thank you again for showing the ship and the cabin
I promise you won't regret the upgrade - there's such a beautiful serenity from having that sea breeze in the room from the veranda! You're going to have an amazing time!
Hi, we'll see you and your wife onboard hopefully as we're boarding at Auckland in Feb 2025 on the same cruise. We have an inside cabin. Who knows we might bump into you both. Stacy & Jackina from Napier
Hi & thanks for sharing a great review. Can you please let me know about the dress code as I am looking at a14night cruise ex Sydney? Hubby is not an aussie fancy dresser (jeans, polo shirt or shirt sleeved collared shirt is ok) & I am worried he may feel out of place for night time dining?
Sorry for the delay - we were off getting married ❤ The main dining halls are a bit more strict, but the buffet is always available and anything goes there really. But he will need some kind of dress pants or at least tidy jeans and a collar shirt to be safe!
You'll be pleased to know he's just as nice in person! Stace has watched the show, I haven't, but he was just a nice guy and we hung out quite a few nights (and drinks 😂)
Thankyou for your video abt the Edge It’s absolutely a beautiful couple in beautiful ship , cruising the beautiful country. We did land travelling in NZ 2 times but this cruise made me think want to go back.
Love the Edge. We were on it with Capt Kate in Aug 2019 and are going on it again in mid-Feb and we even booked the exact same cabin as last time, reason why ? - it's only about 45 seconds away from the best Bar on the ship, The Martini Bar. Had quite a few terrific nights there. Looking forward to it so much !!!!!
Hi guys! I love New Zealand & i love cruising! I’ve been in NZ back in 2010 for 3 weeks and i had so much fun in your country! Celebrity Cruises is my favourite cruise line, my next one is booked in April 2024 cruising around Japan with Celebrity Millennium. Ciao from Italy!
Lovely ship i can fully understand the overwhelming feeling , its huge 😮 . 😂in 3 days you probably eat a lot with all the choices on board . I hope that my hubby and i can do a cruise at some point to Norway Iceland . Thank you for taking us a long lot of fun.
Norway or Iceland would be SO epic! The food on this cruise was really great, we got to try only half of the different places over our time - easily could have done a full week
So do we, it was amazing! Haha you'll be pleased to know he's just as nice in person! Stace has watched the show, I haven't, but he was just a nice guy and we hung out quite a few nights (and drinks 😂)
What a cool ship & great trip! The penguin encounter was amazing! ❤ We are doing Alaska via Holland America for our 20th Anniversary next May after taking a train across the US. We've already had to book excursions and some are sold out. Hopefully someone will set up a FB group soon just for our sailing. That seems the way to go for most questions - FB groups. 🎉 I'm pretty sure it's illegal to diet on a cruise. 😉 Impending wedding or not, just sayin'. Thanks for sharing. -western NY Troy & Aimee
SO jealous of your Alaska cruise! Some friends did one recently and their photos were jaw dropping - we gotta get there some time. HAHA yeah we broke every rule in the book by not embracing the food as much as we should
Edge would be the perfect first ship! It's not as large as others so that means a lot less 'things' and a lot less overwhelming. Despite that, it never felt packed and overcrowded like others we've been on and heard about - we highly recommend! Easily our fav.
If I were planning on doing a cruise for 10 or so nights how much should I expect to bring for activities and what not (excluding the cruise fees and drinks and food on the boat)? Lmk thanks :)
That mostly depends on if you have the all inclusive package or not, that makes things much more relaxed and easy while onboard because premium drinks/alcohol is paid. The great thing with a cruise is you don't really need to spend any money if you don't want to - don't pay for the excursions, just walk and explore the cities for free, don't get alcohol, eat at the buffet and included restaurants etc. Just depends how you'd like to travel!
What do you think about 18 days Tahitian Treasures cruise from Sydney to Honolulu? My wife thinks it's too long a cruise from our 7 - Day Carribean cruise last year. What's there to do inside the ship for 18 days? Any input/advice from anybody here would be much appreciated. Thanks!!
I don't think so sorry, at least not at the moment. This ship will be based around NZ and Aus next year though so check their website, there might be some goodies!
Celebrity is a nice cruise line, I wouldn’t call it a luxury cruise, there are higher end and there are smaller ships that IMO . Smaller ships from HAL is what we prefer, we have done about twenty five Celebrity cruises of the forty five we have done.
That's a lot of cruises! You're right there definitely are some smaller more luxurious options, but hopefully you agree that of the larger style ships Celebrity is definitely up there in terms of quality?
I have been on celebrity before but it definitely is trying to position itself as a luxury brand now days, have you priced some of the suites or even normal cabins lately? It’s insane, especially their ship within a ship suites, crazy prices
You got a good reply below, but from what we were told the crossing was easy as. Edge has a unique hull design so it's more efficient and has great stability even when it's listing
