Please make a video with Subtitles. This could benefit so many more people. I’m an Orthodox Priest from United States. I visited Mt Athos 19 years ago and it changed my life and is big part of the reason I am now a priest. Even though I couldn’t understand, the footage and music is beautiful. Glory to God!

Subtitles would be nice. I dont underrstand why the description and everything is in english, yet no subtitles or translation. Pretty strange.

I wish someone would provide subtitles. As a woman, I will never be allowed to step foot in the holy mountain paradise that is called Athos. Although it would be a dream come true to be able to worship in the temples there and to touch my feet on the land that the Mother of The Most Holy Infant Jesus requested to be her garden because of it's pristine beauty.

it;s so pitty, because seems to be an amazing documentary about St Mountain of Athos...or Gradina Maicii Domnului..in Romanian

I visited about 20 years ago - you get a 4 days permit and can extend to 8 days once on place. I regretted I did try to visit several monasteries. I feel it's better to go to 1-2 monasteries only, and stay more rested and in peace, instead of seeing this as a tourist with a camera. If you can find a monastery with monks that you feel a human connection with, it's the best. When I left the peninsula after 4 days, I landed in the normal city and I didn't want to lift my eyes to see the city. Being in the mountain without any women around is a different experience.
