As the material is pushed through the die, it is heated and pressurized to soften and take on the shape of the die. The extruded material is then cooled and cut into desired lengths. Extrusion is a continuous process, which means that products can be produced in large quantities at a high production rate. Extrusion is widely used in industry for the production of a wide variety of products, such as tubes, profiles, films, wires, cables, bars, sheets, among others.
