This fire starter is one of our top Go-To's for kindling in wet weather conditions. It's very light, and in many cases mostly hollow which means it dries quickly in the air. We've used it for decades specifically for making fires in wet weather, but we haven't seen or heard it discussed in the Bushcraft, Fire-making community very much. Hopefully this video puts a small spotlight onto one of our favorite and most underrated fire-starting materials.
