Not everything you see in this video compilation is from Thailand. Example: 22:05 This lady cutting pineapple is not in Thailand, but in Vietnam. The giveaway is this "SAIGON" signage @28:05, and her head and shoulder covering with flowers embroidery is very unique to Vietnam culture. @26:10/29:14 is more proof from signage again and finally verbal language proof @28:12 that it's from Vietnam.
@@Paolo_De_Leva "Thanks a lot for explaining. They don't even give the names of the fruits!" This was more of a ASMR type of vid, so not much in terms of narration lol.
@@siggyincr7447 "Also a unusual variety of pineapple. It almost looks like a wild type, smaller and more spiny. I wonder how it compares to the export varieties." The same fruit/vegetable grown from different parts of the world may look and taste slightly different. Factors like soil composition, water, climate etc can alter the fruit/vegetable. Like humans for example, we all look and speak different languages from different parts of the world, but deep down, we're all made of the same parts.
These are Jack fruits its sweet and delicious. In many cases these fruits has a deworming effect of children. Just let them enjoy eating this fruit and healthy tummy follows. It contains really good fiber too..
is that the giant spike melon thing towards the end. We recently saw them in our grocery store- but I had no idea what to do with them or how to eat them....What do they taste like?
Love the technique krub! Fun to watch and I love Jackfruit, among other fruits in my home Thailand. Will be back from US Dec 30 to celebrate new year there.
That's amazing. I took one hour to cut and collect the edible parts around the seeds. This guy does half of the job in minutes. And that pop to send the seeds is so neat. The white liquid is super sticky. I clean the lives and tools with vegetable oil.
The glue settles down a bit if you can refrigerate the fruit before you cut it up. I was a lot happier when I learnt about using vegetable oil as a barrier and for clean ups. I'm looking forward to trying their technique when mine are ready in a couple of weeks.
The Jackfruit cutting was interesting except for the unhygienic parts. The metal bar he uses to separate the two halves was in contact with the ground. The girl separating and cleaning the pods is not wearing gloves. She touches her hair then the pods. Same for the girl packaging pods. No gloves and she touches money.
Ha! You think that's bad? Before 2019 it was common at many street food stalls to have a water cooler with a cup tied to it. Anyone eating there or driving by can use the cup to get a drink from the cooler. That rod he used to split the jackfruit is covered in a very sticky, almost glue like substance. So, anything that touches it would stick to it. When my mother-in-law would open one, the knife gets covered in it. It's very difficult to clean off. It's actually starch like what you see when you try to open an unripe banana. Just in case anyone is wondering what I meant by water cooler, it is one of those that you would see at a football game filled with Gatorade and used to soak the winning coach.
jackfruit do not know how it tastes but i heard you have to get passed the funky smell! never saw such large ones. i'm curious i'd love to go to thailand.and try that. love the way they do the pineapple. great video!
I LOVE jackfruit now that Ive gotten to try it. You know, when I was a kid I used to chew Juicyfruit gum and wish I could eat it. Comes to find out, Jackfruit IS the flavor of Juicyfruit gum! The flavor is very similar.
Jackfruit smells a bit like rotten chicken, not as strong as Durien. To me it tastes like a cross between a mango and a flower, maybe Llangllang? I hope you get to try some. For me it's a race against the bats, rats, possums and cockatoos, we all like it.
Asian labor workers always fast & quick. I moved to US from Asia. My first culture shock was: Why all these American workers so grumpy & workin in a slow motion 😅
You can find them at asian supermarkets in the US if you want to try one, they have a strong smell but it's much sweeter than Durian and not as pungent. Make sure you get a ripe one though because they can be a little rubbery when unripe (the canned ones aren't as good because they are canned while still unripe). Parts of the rind can be cooked into various dishes as a meat substitute as well.
I see so much waste with the pineapples and how they peel them. I take a lot of care when cutting out the eyes so I don't waste much if any. I do hope the peelings are sent to be squeezed of their excess juices and made into juice.
I was watching that too. The lady with the v shaped scoop had a better system. I guess they don't get paid by the kilo. We prepare a fruit platter each week at work, some of the women are so wasteful.
Watching the boys peeling the fruit is hypnotising. How does he make the peel come off at the end by rolling the fruit? I wish could do that. I wonder how he peels mango.
when we cut the jackfruit , we literally pick up each single fruit from the jackfruit, but this machine has made it so easy. It exposes all the fruit with the seeds in on one shot. Very clever work
MERCI❣️❣️❣️
Everything is so clean! 0:54 Look @ the handle of the knife (to the right) YUMMY! I would eat just that handle whatever t/f that goop is. 1:41 Look @ the ground. What is that even? Carpet? Or just straight up dirt your fruit is going on? Either way...YUM! 3:36 Look @ the big red bowl/pot the fruit goes in! nom nom nom! 4:18 Look @ her gloves ...what is the purpose? LOL! The thumbs are broken through. We ALLLL know those gloves make your hands sweat and broken gloves leak and drip sweat. YUM! That isn't even 5 minutes in to the video. Yes yes, I know all cultures are different..BUT...cleanliness and some level of sanitization is NOT that difficult no matter where on earth you are.
Kanoon fruit is my favorite fruit in Thailand, I have planted 4 seeds in my garden who is growing into trees already. Waiting for harvesting in 5-10 years.
Delicious, a little chewy and crunchy, sweet taste plus texture is similar to young coconut meat It’s wonderful fruit with its own aroma like no others, no acidic and far between from pineapple
hi.. vacum sealed bags for food pulp , in an underground celle.r those things should last at least a couple of years.... animal cookie skins too... good job you need a raise.. and a vacation...
