In part 1 of 2, Dr. O walks you through the most advanced process for full mouth rehab with dental implants, veneers, and cosmetic crowns to convert a smile in a single day utilizing some really impressive technology. This patient suffered from severe tooth wear so he traveled from out of state to Innovative Dental in Springfield, MO to have our amazing team fix his smile!
First, Invisalign was used to correct the misplaced bite and incorrect alignment. This allowed Dr. O to avoid removing so much tooth structure; helping to preserve the health of the teeth and give the patient a much longer lasting result. Following just a few months of Invisalign, this full mouth reconstruction was completed with a single appointment where we used the CEREC digital impression, design and fabrication technology to create his veneers, crowns, and implant crowns in just a few short hours to reconstruct his smile!

Dr O, Can you tell me how you are able to install implants and completely change a patient’s mouth in one day, when it has taken over 9 months for my dentist to place 3 implants which are still unstable so he encased the 2 implants in temporary dental composite material. The implants have movement. My question is simple, I would like to know the permanent dental cement used when operating on dental patients for the one day makeover. I’m not asking for a recommendation on the cement but just point me in the direction so I better understand the materials and methods. Thank you very much, Alan

Absolutely love these videos, but only 9:31 minutes long, I sat and watched the 3 hour or so, full smile makeover, was expecting this to be longer but i guess its better than not having anything, I know these videos take a lot to make, but we also love watching and learning its very interesting

What about erosion. Does it also mess with the bite the way this type of teeth wear does? what precautions bite wise should be taken with extreme erosion? ( extreme erosion and loss of posterior teeth)

as much as i know implant's body made from Titanium the most strong and anti-corrosive metal on earth, are there any other metals being used

Implants can be anywhere from 2-3k up to 55k for a whole mouth reconstruction. It really is too wide of a range with so many variables. It is better to set a consultation!

Ok I asked a question and somehow it didn’t post, when inserting an implant, how can you place the crowns the same day? Do the implants not need time to fuse to the bone? 2-3 months healing time before crown placement?

The lower left implant that I replaced was allowed to heal while we did Invisalign. We restored all of the teeth at the same time along with the implants. When we do implant supported prosthetics, we can load them the very same day due to tying in the implants to work together. It is individual chewing (back or posterior) implants that need time to integrate and heal in the bone first. Hope that this helps.

I think the style is not natural enough but I am European, we like a sightly more natural aesthetic. Interesting channel, loads is possible when money is available! Luckily I am French and we have good insurance here. Not for implants though. But ceramic crowns are free for front teeth, canine and premolars. Metal for molars. Very grateful 🙏

The VA in Columbia, MO decides who I go through. I would go through you if I could. I want implants. My teeth went bad in a short period of time. The oral surgeon I went to have already removed all the back. I have my 12 front right now. In a few months they will remove the rest. I desperately want implants, but can only do what the VA allows me. I don't have extra money. I am very concerned with dentures, since I have a small mouth and my jaw doesn't open far. When I close my mouth, my tongue completely fills my mouth.

Rapid opening of a patient's bite can lead to other problems. Namely TMD. How do you address those issues.

After performing hundreds of these both with long term temporaries and immediate same day conversions, I have never had TMD. We do provide each patient a night guard and in a few instances, I have adjusted the bite afterwords.

Yes. We are putting their bite where they feel comfortable and building their teeth to this. Our goal should always be happy and healthy patients. That is exactly what we are doing. They are probably happier than the patients forced to wear long term temporaries and make many visits. If you have a protocol that is creating amazing smiles for your patients than keep it up.

Doc, I’m in Alabama and your energy is contagious. I’ve always been a smile person but grew up with very little dental care or means to fix my teeth. When I was 28, I went to my wonderful dentist in Birmingham and asked him for veneers, I cried telling him how insecure I was with my teeth. He wouldn’t do it, said NOPE, he loved me too much, and he sent my ass to the orthodontist. Now, I still didn’t have a ton of $$ but I respected dr so I financed train track braces as a single 28 yr old (great for my dating life). Wore braces two years, then had to have a jaw surgery to align jaw (yes a nerve was cut) but I kept smiling even though cheese could be dripping down my chin!! This is all a true story😂😂. Keep in mind, I had come to far, and all I wanted was a pretty smile. The perio dude cut my gums a little too close to the top (now causing problems) and teeth whitening. I might need to make a trip to see you!! I’m smiling thinking about it!!

I'm from South Arkansas I need help too. I sure wish you could help me get some help with mine my partial broke an needs two teeth pulled and some cavities filled on top front teeth. I can't hardly eat only have front teeth no back teeth on top or bottom back to eat, you can't see it from my front teeth I'm embarrassed to smile or even talk. I've been a widow for 23 yrs I'm disabled due to 3 back Surgeries. Just lost my dad that was going to help me & 4 mos later my son got killed in auto accident. I can't afford to get mine fixed. It seems like he forget to say though , in all of his Veneers videos, that it's gonna cost you approx 1600$ for one tooth and you at least must do all your smiling tooth which is 14-16. lets say 15 - at least - 24K$ and then you'll have the other tooth which not smiling tooth completely left behind and browny/yellow compared to the sparkling whites you made, so 32 tooth for all your mouse will cost 51200$ and that's not includes the other procedure except the veneers. pricy
