German myself, I Love! how often he tell us that this is a german company or german build!! Maybe the world already know: Something that Germans CAN be proud of is the High Quality of the work, products or builds they are able to provide!! And you so can tell by his accent that this man is a German🏡
This is really impressive. However, I wished the larger one could have been shown as well. This one is great for a single person, but even a couple would be difficult. I love that there's a real living area with space for a TV. I hate how so many leave that out. Wow, the Murphys beds are brilliant 👏
Thank you for the feedback 👍 In the larger models you don't need a nurphy bed anymore, as the rooms are big enough for normal furniture. We specifically designed BLOXS to feel like a spacious apartment, even though the footprint on the sheet of paper is small. The numerous and large windows make it feel much larger in reality. Wait until we can present a larger model. We are already looking forward ✨
@BLOXS Thank you for your reply. I went to your website and I'm so impressed although I was really wishing I'd kept up with my German🤭 I will be keeping a watch for when these will be available for purchase here in the states.
Thank you Jennifer 🙂 The price comes from the materials and the technology. It's no good if something looks nice but is a disaster in terms of quality. It's the inner values (walls, material, etc.) that matter. 🌟
Genius! Here in the USA, we still lack simple housing as dynamic as this, and it pains me. Amazing integration of ideas, style, sustainability and configurability. BRAVO!!
I like this a lot Germany has a lot of high class durable products. That bathroom looks top notch also the kitchen, with all the built ins like a fridge and dishwasher. Such a refreshment from the us builds where all the apliances are always separate. I would love this with a separate bedroom, because I also have a daughter. Who knows holland might make it easier one day to find a spot to park your tiny home, and hopefully by then blox is able to ship to your neighbours the dutch😁
Please show more of these stuff! I've been dreaming of having one of these good tiny prefab house houses but most are way beyond my price point, such as this one. Hoping to see one I could realistically afford! Still nice to see as it gives me ideas on what I want!
Love ❤️ this! YES - bring your building technology to America. Your concepts will explode here. Currently looking into Tiny House living and I would love to have a Bloxs! 😊
@@theBLOXScom American houses are cheaply made. Americans will underestimate German solid great craftmanship and dedication to be energy efficient. For a good price that looks great and not oversized would sell well, once the realize the feel is STURDY. Just keep in mind on the fiddly bits, we're fatter than you. Good luck.
Fair point! The closet space is generous compared to some similar size tiny homes. Fortunately, their newer tiny house model room has room for more storage. It's about 400 sqft compared to the prototype shown here is more like 260 sqft. Check it out: www.thebloxs.com/modulhaus-bloxs-living-40/ AND the next size up is about 540 sqft: www.thebloxs.com/modulhaus-bloxs-living-40/
Absolutely right Kalla 👍 The one-bedroom BLOXS LIVING 40 is perfect for renting out. For example, if you were to install only one murphy bed, you would also have more space for additional cupboards/storage compartments. For even more storage space, we recommend the two-room apartment BLOXS LIVING 50 or even larger models.
I love the idea and concept behind the Bloxs house. My only hang up is the price. Why would I pay 200,000 for a tiny house??? Why is everything so damn expensive nowadays???
Love the product and the presentation. I would offer you one piece of advice. Drop the " To be honest " frazing in your demonstration that you used a lot. It enfers that you have at some point and / or have been lying. To be honest...
Good looking product especially interested in cost of running this home. I have relatives in Maine USA. This might be of interest depending on where the Bloks product will be made.
Excellent, love it. Would love to see the larger one. Unfortunately here in greater Vancouver, Canada the land is so valuable that one cannot afford to only have one storey, and need to have more sq feet to maximize the total value. Shame as many of us can manage in a smaller home. These Bloxs homes are beautiful. Thx
Thanks Chris for your feedback🙂In metropolitan regions such as Munich, we unfortunately have the same problem, because the land is simply far too expensive.
Insulation? You have a lot to learn. I know some of these concepts are foreign because American homes are designed so poorly. The walls are 16" thick. It is easy to use materials to keep cool a frig from a stove. Engineering.
Is there one that would be the same size as a standard German tiny garage. Would be great to lift out the garage and drop in a tiny apartment for teenagers.
What an oddly specific scenario of a land-hoarder keeping property for his son, lol. I'd bet this founder/CEO used investment money from his land-owning father to fund this so that he can inherit it later. The tiny home movement was built out of both necessity for alternative living options, as well as an intent to reduce carbon footprints. This guy seems to be more interested in creating opportunities for landlords to have a really nice tiny rental, rather than creating an alternative housing solution for people who are priced out of buying a new home, looking to reduce their footprint, downsize their lives, etc. I'm always wary of white collar interlopers coming into the alternative living space and talking about "premium materials" and "smart home" tech, but who don't seem to have a heavy emphasis on full solar power (yes, he mentioned the capabilities for the roof to house panels, but as more of an afterthought), the use of passive solar gains in the construction, off-grid capabilities, and other sustainable practices. But great video work and diverse content from the T.H.E. team, as always.
Thank you for your support and sharing your perspective! It is kind of an odd scenario, but apparently it’s very common in Germany. The way we see it is he creating a housing opportunity for folks Germany who want to own a more affordable home with a land placement opportunity in many large and small towns, similar to THOWs in backyards & farms. But in this case, the land lease could be for a much longer period of time. We also filmed a German THOW dweller who can lease the land she’s parked on for about 17 years, until the landowner’s grandson is of age to build a home there. 😄 Coming soon!
Thank you Ibrahim for your extensive feedback 👍 As Germany is a significantly smaller country than the U.S., we do not have a lot of land available for construction. Take a look at our cities, they are compact and every small gap is built on. Urban development in the U.S., on the other hand, is completely different, as there is simply much more land available. Buying land in Germany is extremely difficult because building land is so limited. That's why families actually buy two to three plots of land so that children don't have to go through this difficult search later on. This may sound strange to you, but it is a reality in Germany. The second big hurdle is the German legislation for house building. We have very very strict building laws and energy laws. A THOW can get almost no approval as a residential house in Germany. Due to energy laws, walls, roof, etc. must be overly insulated. Our exterior wall has 35cm thickness to meet this. This would be a loss of 70cm for a THOW with a maximum allowed width of 250cm in Germany, only due to wall thickness. In addition, THOWs in Germany may weigh a maximum of 3500kg. With this weight limitation, walls, ceilings, floors, etc. cannot be designed to be strong enough to meet the legal requirements. As you can see, it is very complicated here! The topic of renewable energy and energy efficiency is at the top of our list. Our walls, ceiling floor etc is designed to an absolutely high level to achieve the best efficiency levels. This already lowers the energy consumption for heating. On the subject of heating, of course, sunlight can be used. BLOXS have external blinds to protect against overheating in the summer. In winter, the house automation system can leave the external venetian blinds open to use solar energy, as the temperature and solar radiation are digitally recorded. The use of photovoltaics is of course very useful and is recommended by us, but the customer must decide for himself. Since the power consumption in connection with a heat pump is not particularly high, the customer must decide for himself whether he wants to invest thousands of euros in photovoltaics or not. This is a purely economic decision. I hope you can see that we have put a lot of thought into this and not just build a square box. BLOXS are very consulting-intensive, because a lot of technology and know-how is hidden in the non-visible area :-) If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us! 👋
Hi and good afternoon, @ PNG time 5:20pm. I am currently watching your tiny houses from 2021. Would you have any build for 2023.?I am one of those who like watching living big in a tiny house, etc. Do interested customers place orders from outside of Germany. If you do, do you pay for shipment?
Sir you would be better off putting your factory in the central east coast or Midwest of the US because your delivery time would most likely be cut in half plus there are folks here that would work cheaper than in Canada
❤😊, totally agree with previous comments about efficiency, well designed space, adaptable within the confines of the given space. And, Christian 👍👍, on your ad. I agree that item would be a good entertainment method for small or outside places. Thank you both! 👍(Shivering black bell thumbs up)
15 FAQ's not one devoted to costs. twice as many chapters, none mention price. Hovering with the mouse showed me the tiny tiny chapter that had "most viewed" oh look, the buried costs. Oh, only 150k Euro's. What's the first thing most people care about with tiny home vids? What's the last thing? both are price. I confess I no longer understand the movement now that its about using a quarter of a million dollars to sacrifice all of your space. Not sure how that makes a lick of sense.
We’ll it’s not on wheels and the price is influenced by the tremendous amount of tech and high quality durable materials. 🙃 What’s nuts is there are tiny homes of less quality going for a similar price point
I am a real estate broker and I would love for you to get in contact with me if you do come to the United States. This was one of the dreams I always wanted to do.
One bug factor is that the cost of building materials is much higher than it used to be. In the case of this house, they use exceptionally durable high-quality materials and lots of tech, but it’s still a fraction of the cost of other housing on the German market and in many many places in the US.
Thanks for your feedback! The special thing about BLOXS is that a BLOXS is delivered ready produced from the factory. It is ready for occupancy in a few hours. We use high quality and expensive materials so that a BLOXS can be lifted and transported again at a later time. Therefore, the statics and stability is exceedingly :)
Well he’s not in charge of that or the government, but instead through his small business, he recognizes the serious environmental concerns facing the entire world 😅
@@TinyHouseExpedition agree-What if someone in Europe questioned an American about their politics. We do stuff not to be exactly proud of. Some Americans have this strange id they are authorities on everything including world affairs.
Need this in ireland but you can't as the laws have the market locked down with bullshite regulations and requirements only place these would be aloud is on mobile home sites
Thanks Daire for your feedback 👋 In Germany, we have similarly strict requirements in house construction. A Tiny House on wheels does not have a good chance for a building permit. However, BLOXS in Germany meet the requirements for energy, insulation, statics and much more. Therefore, the exterior walls are over 35cm thick and the roof is even significantly thicker. We also install the most modern aluminum windows and doors with triple glazing, in order to be able to fulfill requirements in house construction to get a building permit 👍
So true! Consider joining the Tiny Home Industry Association who is actively advocating for acceptance of tiny homes around the country. One thing that’s great about BLOXS is that it’s modular so could probably easily meet US residential modular code and state modular codes, meaning it would be widely accepted!
Thank you Enerstina 👍 We have the same problem in Germany 😑Tiny houses are rejected almost everywhere. However, BLOXS meet the German building standards and can therefore get a permit here - just like a normal single-family house 🏡
@@theBLOXScom Thank you for your response. Unfortunately the problem with tiny homes, in most cases has nothing to do with permits and/or building standards but it has to do with politicians & bureaucracy. Hopefully your products get approved in the USA, as the homes do appear to be beautiful & efficient.
@@TinyHouseExpedition Thanks for your comment. In a year or two, I'm planning on moving South. Haven't decided where exactly, but once I'm ready, I'll be researching the tiny home market. Hopefully, this Company will be allowed to sell their amazing products in the entire USA.
@@ernestinasanchez5305 best wishes with your plan! We think BLOXS has really great chance of meeting national residential modular building standards and state code, making placement much more available than THOWs!
It would be nice if the configurator is in English, not in German only. Other wise, I'm so glad that Tiny House movement becomes more and more popular in Europe. Great job BLOXS! Thank you! :)
