Amazing GOLD find metal detecting in the water!

I've only been able to detect in Virginia a couple of times, and its always so exciting given the history up there! I'd love to get back there and spend some more time detecting

There's definitely a lot more detectorists out there these days! The water machines are becoming more and more affordable, and the hobby is becoming a lot more popular

Hey! I'm over on the west coast. I was up in MN for a couple of months last year. I learned one very important thing up there. I looooooooove Florida weather! haha

@@DetectFlorida I totally get it. We’re down in Ft. Lauderdale area now. Stopped in to Digging It Detectors and got hooked up with a couple new units. Congrats on your recent 2nd place finish in the contest. Yamil told us about it:) we’re actually heading around the West side of Florida in apprx a week or so. Heading to the Keys first. Wondering if Pompano beach or Ft. Lauderdale have restrictions on detecting?

It depends where you are. Most areas in Florida, it is the law, but it's never been enforced. Be respectful of the areas where you dig, and you won't ever have a problem. The east coast of Florida is a little different when it comes to detecting in the water. There's areas along the treasure coast where you'll be promptly removed from the water and potentially fined

I currently use a Minelab Manticore. I'll be trying out the XP Deus II very soon to compare

If I had to rely on metal detecting for my income, I'd have starved to death years ago. lol

I'm partial to the Deus over the Equinox, but both are awesome machines. Can't go wrong with either!
