Singing and playing at the same time is a process. Even for me with some songs, I need to really work on the uke part before I can add the singing. I just did a performance of "Havana" a couple of weeks ago, and really needed to practice adding in the rap portion with my strumming pattern. Here's a video I did explaining how to integrate singing and playing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hruJ0w6J5UM.htmlsi=GPzzMGhr3RxRv05-
@@TheUkuleleFool Usually I sang a lot for many tourists in Germany in a famous Tourism Town. But mostly played accordion. Now it needs some Time to sing well with Ukulele. The difference is that the accordion gave the melody but Ukulele not. But want to handle it soon. Usually love to sing second voice too. You are a wonderful Singer!
This is very helpful. Do you have any where you play along, and then just sing while we try and play along? I feel like I need to hear someone sing while I play to see if I'm hitting the cords well.
In my years of teaching I have learned that people think their singing is worse than it is. None of us are professional singers, so we should hold ourselves to that standard. Visual learners might appreciate Yousician for singing. It has worked well for one of my students.
