Buy bigger size motor next time and make sure there is water before you turn on motor.

I’m talking about the type pump he’s using. Close coupled from the factory with the motor matched to the pump. Not burned out from lack of water in the unit but from regular use. The pump seldom wears out before the motor. If anything I’ve replaced motors on pumps 25 years old. Power surges and lightning tend to do bad things to electric motors

@@JRPittman they don't have soft start too, google "soft start" it's important for motor's life... but they never come with soft start
