There is a rebreather system that works very well, but is also extremely costly and needs a lot of training to use properly. Never dive or breath pressurised gas if you have not been properly trained.

Its really not hard at all. The problem is that we are warm blooded and need ridiculously more oxygen than a cold blooded fish of the same size. So even if we made a rebreather or some sort of artificial gills that were as efficient as those of a fish the apparatus would be minimum twice the size of our entire body. This is why mammals that live in the ocean like dolphins, whales, etc, do not have gills but breath air like we do.

It could probably be done, but it would take hundreds of billions of years to evolve it, meaning that you'd have to commit a vast number of generations to it. You'd also have to put up with the fact that brain size would also diminish rapidly in order to accommodate the limited amount of oxygen which gills can generate. Minor drawback to being able to swim constantly, don't you agree?

About that fan helmet... having something covering your head can prevent sunstrokes in the first place. People have been wearing hats or other things on their heads in hot climates for ages for that exact reason. But adding some airflow to that might be a good thing. Could be further improved by adding a little moisted cloth in front of the fan for some evaporation cooling.

It's not a compact diving bottle. It's a regulator which vents the bubbles off to the side. You attach a hose from normal tanks to it on one side, and it vents the bubbles on the other side. I suppose you could use it with compact diving bottles, but then, yes, that would be a good way to explode your lungs. But otherwise, it functions the same as a normal regulator. It's just that it vents to the side, which is not only not much of an innovation, but is also nothing all that new. It's been done before.

i would not trust air bottles you fill yourself. pressurized air needs to be 0% humid. wet pressured air can react with aluminum breathing what results from that can destroy your lungs or be outright fatal. also there is no such thing as aircraft grade aluminum that any aircraft maker uses specifically just buzz words to inflate pricing on what might be a lethal product

Really want one of those air conditioned safety helmets. The only thing is, as a construction manager I would recommend UK versions only need 3hrs on full & 6hrs on half power as you can never get the lazy ass contractors to work any longer than that each day.

The second is a low pressure version of a pony bottle - and utterly useless. Either way, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. A solution in search of a problem.

6:56 mobile solar panels exist that can provide power. This allows you to set up camp anywhere you want to get out of the elements for a hot minute. given how easy it looks to set up, this could be stored in a backpack setup for a bike.

No, it is not, it is a widow maker. It is incredibly dangerous, and has been debunked multiple times. These so called pony bottles have resulted in more diver deaths than inexperience and nitrogen rush combined. Don't buy that crap; it is a scam and a dangerous rip-off. The YAW gaming chair I actually wanted to get for $1000. Unfortunately after raising almost 3 MILLION dollars on kick starter it is still not actually available. You can preorder 3 variations the cheapest of which is $1530 - $2345 exc. customs duties﹠taxes and shipping fee. So even the cheap version once all the extra fees are added will be over $3000. The most expensive will be over $5000. Very little info on what is different between the various models. I think I'll wait until it is on Amazon Prime for 1k or less. Then if it comes broken I can return it without a bunch of nonsense about "well thats what you get for preordering from a kick starter"

It would not charge at the same rate at 1 amp unless you have a very old phone. You want at least 2.1 especially if in use or it will drain faster than it will charge.

True, but they have previously been built into walls and such, not set into the celling so they can accidentally drop down from above and potentially kill whomever is using the space underneath... Plus, like, if you have the space for the bed in this style to be stuffed into your roof and lowered down like that... Wont you probably have room for just having the bed on the floor in the first place?

@@1toshi32 yeah it doesn't always work, but it's usually my first thing I try especially if it's a computer or phone. Your windows could be a number of things but I would probably start by checking the fuse but could be the actual switch or the motor itself. Mine went on my car on the passenger side and it was the connection to the switch was a bit dodgy. Hope you get it sorted okay without spending too much money. 👍

4:54 this thing again! i have various of this same thing. you can not pump it up with a handpump. also all that weight will be haging by only the mouth peace.....no saftey strap.
