Check out Janis Joplin Work Me Lord Live in Stockholm 1969. People often seem to sleep on the one but it definitely is one of her best performances. Good luck!

Ray, Janis had more soul than any other female artist in the music industry, including today's female artist! Janis Joplin has been my favorite singer since the late 60s! Her catalog is long, and you'll enjoy jumping down her rabbit hole 🕳 I promise! Many have said she was the queen of blues, listen to your wife more, she has good taste in music!

Love her so much! I practically wore her albums out in my high school days. "Piece of My Heart" was her first big hit & her most famous song. If you react to it please do the studio version. That's what everyone heard a million times on the radio & everywhere you went in 1968, it was in the air. And we loved it. 💙☮️💙☮️💙☮️💙☮️💙☮️💙☮️💙☮️💙

Janis sang from the heart. The band, The Holding Company, didn't get the recognition they deserved because Janis was so amazing and powerful, she got most of the attention and then passed at a young age. I was a young teen watching her on TV and I found her mesmerizing.

I'm so with you. I been hoping for more Courtney ever since he did "Sucker" cover earlier. I really thought for sure he was hooked. I even tried donating for a request. Might have been for "Old town road" cover that she changed to a rock masterpiece or maybe is was her AGT audition were she got labeled as Janis Joplin, I forget now. "Maybe" we'll get lucky. 😃

You have to listen to Billie Holliday....Strange Fruit. THAT song got her in trouble with the FBI. They made a movie about her called Lady Sings the Blues staring Dianna Ross, another power house singer. She won an academy award for her roll. Also staring Billy d Williams
