I can't watch a video where the narrator mispronounce the name of the location. Chelly doesn't rhyme with "jelly", it's pronounces "shay". It's a stunning place to visit and deserves the respect of pronouncing the name correctly.

I visited it on a mission trip. I remember Navajo children running and chasing one another on the edge of the 1000 foot drop off. No fences or guard rails! Also, recall seeing tipis, like you see on westerns, way down on the canyon floor. Our Navajo guide pointed out a member of the Hopi tribe and said, "Now, there's a REAL Indian!"

What a stunning video you have produced here ! If you look closely at the rocks and their formations ,you can see ' faces ' carved into them ? But not by man or woman .They lie in all kinds of shapes and sizes and positions ,but they are there ...looking out at us ,forever ! It gives me goosebumps just watching mother nature at her most beautiful and powerful . Thanks again for the hospitality...all the best from Scotland .

If I were Navajo I would want to build and expand those cliff dwellings , leaving the ancient ones alone for posterity but with new ones to inhabit and utilize as retreats or meditation or prayer sites . Maybe a weekend getaway on the same spot your ancestors slumbered and thrived . A picnic withflat bread and indian tacos . With a bit of peyote under the tongue to stay in touch with the spirit world.

This canyon is so beautiful. It is not convenient to get to, but it is worth the trip. There is only one place that unaccompanied non-residents are allowed to visit and that is the White House (an Anasazi pueblo up the cliff). But the good news is that you can hire a Navajo guide to accompany you and give you a guided tour. Call ahead and reserve. When I went, there was also a campground on one Navajo family's farm. Plan your trip for summer only because the canyon is too cold in the winter, even for the residents who move out of the canyon.

Don't blame. the AI. Would you blame a typewriter for a typo? No. You would blame the person who should have copy edited. Nowadays, people are very unprofessional. They throw something up and don't bother to check it first.
