I always use a hammer when working on computers, or electronics in general actually. It's an underrated tool, and people don't realize how many problems it can solve. Kudos for putting it to proper use!

This being my first video I thought this was legit the whole way thru

Ok, sooooo..... I followed the instructions as carefully as I could but I think I might have messed up somewhere. Everything boots, bios is configured correctly and I have output to the monitor. The problem I'm faced with is that it's asking me to press "Any key" to continue? I've looked for ages on my keyboard and I can't find a key labelled "Any"? Someone suggested that I try pressing things like my car keys or door keys but that had no effect. I'm wondering if my flux capacitor was wired incorrectly, I attatched it thusly (Capacitor-flux, capacitor-flux, capacitor-flux) as that is what was shown on screen. My question is this, was the image from the camera inadvertently flipped. essentially presenting us the viewer with a mirror image? Oh yeah, one more thing before I forget. I was able to get a Mhz speed reading from the initial post screen, it reads Minus 88Mhz. Apart from those two issues it at least boots up to the prompt, my coffee tray still works and I'm gonna start looking further afield for this elusive "Any key" keyboard, maybe it's a Mac or Linux keyboard, who knows? Oh, oh, one more thing. regarding the hammer..... When striking the CPU with the hammer, remember to hit it at a 42 degree angle away from the centre of the CPU. I made the mistake of hitting it straight down on my first attempt, it appeared to slot in correctly but on booting up the machine I heard the SEGA voiced boot up sound, obviously this could have been a costly mistake but I was able to rip the CPU out of the machine before it finished booting. On closer inspection, the corner pin had bent inwards and was touching one of the other pins, my guess is that this short circuited one or more of the 32 bit pathways and left only an 8 or 16 bit pathway for the tracers to travel down. This wouldn't have been too bad but I don't have a SEGA controller and even though my coffee tray doubles as a CD tray, both can't be used at the same time.

If you don't replace my K6 3 CPU because of this very wrong video, I'm calling the CIA and MI6 on you! I paid $900 for my K6 and it’s broken because of your bad advice (and maybe because I didn’t watch till the end). ;)
