Absolutely agree about Studio display with nano. I use an M1 mini 16/256 from Apple refurbished, the nano and a second Dell P2715Q. They are a perfect pair as I have adjusted their colour profiles etc to be a good match on day to day work with documents etc. the multiple colour profiles on the studio display are also useful for video editing. Finally the speakers and noise cancelling mics are very good for conference calls. Many colleagues think I’m using my SM7B and Rode mixing desk. I got that to record during lockdown in the U.K. but only need it now for creating pro level content. My other favourite device with all my macs is the Logitech MX keys both full size and the small one. The small one is useful for working with papers and books on my small desk in my home study.

I have this exact combination of Studio Display and the Insta 360. I was lucky enough to pick up the Insta 360 used in an Amazon bin store for $12. Amazing webcam

Nice video. I'm leaving the charger at home since switched to a 16" M1 MBP. never needed extra power for a day in a coffee shop. Video editing, maybe could kill the battery, but usually I do less intense tasks away from home office.

Well done video. I'm a huge fan of the TourBox. With it in my left hand and a pen tablet (Xenscelabs small) in my right, it lets me work in Photoshop at the speed of thought - no breaking concentration to check hand placement for keyboard shortcuts. There's a learning curve to develop the muscle memory, but if you stick with it you'll never want to go back. I upgraded to the new bluetooth one just because it's easier to grab and take with me when out of the studio.

100% agree. It takes a few days but it's worth powering through. I made the same switch from the TourBox Neo (cable) to the Elite (Bluetooth). I use mine mostly for final cut, combined with a Trackpad and the Logitech mouse. Barely touch my keyboard 👌

I've been using the MX Master 2s for years and didn't see a reason to upgrade, but I needed another mouse, so I got the 3s, I didn't think I would care about the soft click, but it's really nice!

Just FYI for webcams and video conferencing. Zoom and Teams are typically limited to 1080p. But depending on bandwidth will more likely be using 720p.

Yes a lot of conferencing apps are capped at 1080. The camera actually gives a little prompt that this is the case. However, a lot of us are looking for an all in one portable solution and this camera is good enough to use for streams and video podcasting as well. I guess that's where the 4K appeal comes in.

I'm afraid that's not going to happen. You're free to skip if you want but chapters effectively kill a video for the algorithm, as it adversely affects AVD.

JESUS!!!!! the monitor is £5.5k!? AND THE STAND IS AN EXTRA £1K???? APPLE, WHAT??? I am absolutely shocked that people buy this stuff. I have a £200 Dell monitor and it is fantastic. Jesus christ!!! The criticisms you enumerate should NOT exist at this price point. Even when you say the speakers and mic are "okay". I expect the word "incredible". That webcam should be "Apple-unique 16k nano OQLED HDMI++ liquid diamond haptic feedback". This has really shocked me. £6.5k for a damn monitor. That's 3x the price of the MBP. Well done, Apple. You have transformed your buyers into a mindless cult.
