That big damn slab of concrete is quickly gonna crack. Nothing about this is modern technology technique. Also, road is supposed to be from robber and rock, NOT concrete
Reinforced concrete pavement is rare. It's only for highways with extreme truck traffic, or where frequent truck turning is prevelant. Most highways that are concrete are non reinforced but have dowels at the joints.
Who in the world dumps 3 loads before they start to strike off. And the guy on the vibrascreed isn’t even using a wet screed, wtf are these guys doing?
That "road" would last for about one year here, no reinforcement, water content of the concrete is much to high unless they are using a P or super P. Any decent sized load on this road would crack it to hell and then more would turn it into dust. There are higher standards here for driveways.
News flash!!! Steel reinforcement does not stop concrete from cracking!! Also there was nothing wrong with pouring at a 4 inch slump!!! This driveway will outlast you!!
this concrete road work is failed in inspections, they didn't use one of the most important machine which is the mechanical vibrator to consolidate the concrete and to bring out air pockets in the concrete poured. maybe steel dowels are not required on plans because the whole width of road pavement was poured one time. mechanical screed to finish the concrete can save time.
Javier Leon, i watched again part of the video and you are correct this is one type of surface vibrator which is the vibrating screed it is the single beam vibrator. i don't know if the volume of entrapped air which is about the in range of 5 to 20% are eliminated especially below the poured concrete. good consolidation is the key for better concrete.
