I could've used this when I lived in S. Korea. The subways are crowded and the seats are often all taken. So, if I had this one-legged chair and found a corner, it would've been great!

I can’t speak for that one but the design of the one legged chair is actually great from hunting if you put it at squatting height and against a tree no other chair would be as light and give you the mobility that a one legged chair does

Absolute death trap, collapsed without any warning ⚠️ thank goodness I wasn’t on the edge of a cliff or I would be dead ! The seat was set up as per instructions to the word, the seat construction made of very thin metal which twisted & collapsed giving no warning whatsoever. Contacted Sitpack constantly for around six months till they finally responded by offering a replacement but refusing a refund even though I told them I had no confidence in the product at all. Buy if you must but make sure you have a safe place to fall when the seat gives way ! After sales service doesn’t exist.

I've always used a crazycreek chair they are great folds flat makes a great addition to sleeping pad and is easy to clip to any pack then you can fill it with brush or layers you strip off on your way to your next camp site they are great.

Used to use a PVC pipe with a piece of wood to sit on while I was out surf fishing, same concept as this but this is definitely gonna be better

I like this chair Bryan, I live on a 12 acre lake that has steep banks around it, I could see this coming in pretty handy, I like that it adjust to different lengths. Be good for milking cows as well. Great review Bryan. The case is nice as well. Like your videos.

As one of the first owners of a Sitpack, I can tell you that it really IS incredibly stable: it would be hard for anybody to kick it out from under you, as your weight pushes it into the surface. Useful even when walking around cities, believe me!

a VERY hi tech interpretation of the old English Gentlemans Shooting Stick, they had a pivoting metal plate a few inches from the bottom that acted as a depth stop in soft ground and a handle that opened up usually with a leather panel stretched between to act as the seat I have an umbrella that is fitted out in that way

I had a friend that bought a cane, that became a chair. It was a normal shepherds crook cane, but when he needed to sit, the crook came apart and made a seat. I think he said, it came from England.

For certain applications, I could see its use. For hiking in the woods and such though, it's tough to beat a regular folding lightweight chair. I'll take the extra weight and size. They all have their place though. Great review. Thanks.

Im going to make one of these for camping. I will use a $2 ABS sanitary tee. thats it. Cut a stick whatever length you want, shove in the tee, and done.

Interesting video, Bryan. Takes me back to being on forest fire crews in 1970 and 72: we worked in pairs, one with shovel and one with Pulaski; we debated whether it was better to have a shovel to lean on or a Pulaski one could brace on the ground and sit on the head, like your chair there. BTW I think the Brits have had something similar for years, though not collapsible, just looks like a walking stick or cane with two metal D rings that fold out.

Yes, in Britain it is known as a shooting stick - generally not collapsible more used like a walking stick when moving; popular in shoooting parties such as when standing around for hours on pheasant shoots.

Very cool product if used in conjuction with core excercises. For example 2 x 30 minutes per week deadlift and push type excercises (not situps) and at any age above 12y.o and a balanced eating/sleeping routine will fix alot of these issues. The more people use these chairs without a lifting programme the weaker their core and legs will become. It's like the disclaimer for food supplements "only works in conjuctiin with a calorie controlled diet." These should have a similar disclaimer for back, leg and ankle fatigue. Muscle and joint fatigue is mitigated by strengthening support muscles. No matter how low testosterone is, how old we are, '99%' percent of the time we can still strengthen support muscles enough to significantly mitigate pain.

Last year, I basically fried my ankles and feet from standing while traveling so much, especially in line trying to get through customs. We were in line for over two hours, due to TSA workers striking and it contributed to my feet and ankles becoming so sore, that I unfortunately needed a wheel chair in the end (embarrassing). I would have LOVED to have had this and I want one. My only concern is I'm a tad too heavy for this at 6'1" and 235 lbs. I'll look and see if there's a version that takes a bit more weight or if there's something similar to this. Edit: I just checked and amazon says it's good up to 245 lbs! I'll get one!

Is there any product similar in size that is an actual chair and not a lean on device? I am thinking they could keep seat size and design short stool type legs that fold out and extend and the leg props also open out to set on ground (free product design advice wink).
